I angrily dropped one of my boxes onto the floor of my new bedroom, I still could not believe that my dad was doing this to me, I mean, honestly, it is my senior year! What right did he have to decide to get remarried and move me across the country.
No right at all, I tell you!
Not that he really cared, my father was not the type of person to really care about other people's feelings. He never really had.
He cheated on my mother, he didn't care when she got sick, he brought one of his gold digging whores to her funeral with him, and he's rather abusive.
This whole moving to the East Coast thing really shouldn't have come as a surprise.
At least Jessica isn't a dumb, gold digging, blonde whore like my last three stepmothers.
She's a lawyer (lawyer = brains), she's rich on her own (self made money = not a gold digger), and she is a brunette (brunette = not blonde).
I might actually like her.
Maybe.
You see, my dad has money, he's always had money never really had to work a day in his life although he went to law school and is now one of the best divorce lawyers in the country.
I mean, go figure, he should know what he's doing, he gets a divorce of his own almost every three months.
Although we've never moved across the country for one of his wives, they always move for us, so maybe Jessica will work out. Maybe I met the woman that will help me pick out my wedding dress years from now.
Maybe.
But probably not.
Don't get me wrong, Jessica is great. She's nice, beautiful, cool, smart, caring, a great cook, and she's got a beautiful house overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Massachusetts.
Overall, she's everything a girl could want as a stepmother, but there are three problems.
And their names are Holden, Daniel, and Oakley.
My oh-so-wonderful stepbrothers to be.
Please note the sarcasm.
I suppose I should introduce myself, huh? I always get ahead of myself and forget that the rest of you have no idea who I am.
Well, here we go…
My name is Taryn Willow Phelps and I'm moving in with the three worst people in the world.
The James brothers.
I am sixteen years old (I'm turning seventeen in a week) and I'm in my senior year of high school, or will be in about a month.
I have the greatest friends in the world, they're like my brothers, but I will probably never see them again.
All because of my stupid father and the not-so-stupid mother of the terrors that live down the hall.
Well Holden and Oakley aren't so bad, but Daniel is horrible.
Holden is eighteen and is getting ready to leave for college, so I won't see him too much over the next year, which totally sucks because he's my favorite out of the brothers.
Daniel and Oakley are twins, they are seventeen years old, and they couldn't be anymore different if they tried.
Where Daniel is cruel and heartless, Oakley is kind and sweet. Daniel has the whole bad-boy vibe, and Oakley's the nice guy. Daniel is tall with dark hair and dark brown eyes that probably send most girls swooning, Oakley is the perfect example of Hitler's "perfect race" he's tall with blonde hair and beautiful clear blue eyes (I swear you can see his soul through those eyes).
