I remembered that you love rain. I once asked you what did you find so fascinating about the little droplets of water from the clouds, and you answered me with a smile. A smile so dazzling that I forgot about the sounds the raindrops make whenever it would meet the rooftop. You reached up and cupped my face in your hands, your eyes the opposite of the cold weather. It gives me warmth.

"I love rain so much because it somehow makes everything in me peaceful. I love the rain so much because I imagine that whenever a tear would fall from the sky, it also wipes away the memories I wanted to forget."

And then you laughed and loosened your hold on my face. You turned your gaze back to the window where the raindrops splatter against the glass.

I stared at you. While you were enjoying the view of the rain, I was mesmerized with the vision of you.

"Tara, ligo tayo sa ulan" I invited and I would forever remember the way your eyes glinted in excitement when you looked at me.

And right at that moment. I learned to love the rain as well. Because you love it so much.

I remember that one night where we had our first official date. I was a bundle of nerves the whole time because I wanted everything to be perfect. But you just laughed at me because 'you find me cute'.

You laughed at me when I almost tripped on the carpet while we're on our way inside your favorite restaurant. You laughed at me when I accidentally dropped my fork and bumping my head on the edge of the table while on the process of picking it up. You laughed at me when I almost spilled the wine I drank just right before you've thrown a joke at me (I made a mental note to myself that day that I would never ever drink anything first when you had a mischievous glint in your eyes)

But my most favorite part is when you asked me if I wanted to walk around the block to kill time because you didn't want to go home yet. And I obliged because I wanted to spend time with you more.

So we were strolling the streets side by side. I wasn't sure if it was okay to hold your hand so I just settled mine on the side. It was a windy night and all you had on was a sleeveless blue dress (which looked good on you). I removed the suit I was wearing over my shirt and draped it on your shoulders. And you uttered a silent 'thank you'.

And all of a sudden, the wind came billowing past us that took us both by surprise. And then you laughed. And it was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard in my life. It was happy, carefree. And when I realized what had made you laughing so much, I laughed out loud too.

I couldn't care less about my suit missing just as long as I could hear you laugh like that.
