Girlfriend Duties

It was a typical Sunday for Maine. She got home from a TVC shoot at around 3:15 AM. Then she just took a bath and then headed straight to Princess in the Palace taping. It was tiresome, to be honest. But she's enduring it all because this is what she's always wanted to do. This was her secret ultimate dream. And besides she's having fun and that's what matters most.

She's been on a roll since she arrived at around 5AM on the set. And she hadn't even had a decent eye shut in what seems like 36 hours already. She's tired. In fact, tired doesn't even begin to describe what she's feeling as of the moment.

Maine checked her watch. 12 noon. Time really flies when you're having fun, even if you barely have enough strength to keep your eyes open. Direk Mike had given the cast a 15-minute break because they needed to re-scan their scripts so when they roll again, their filming will go smoothly as possible.

Sakto, start na ng SPS. Maine said in her thoughts as she opened her twitter account and tried to update herself with her boyfriend.

She's been worried sick with about that guy. If she hadn't had an eye shut for 36 hours then Alden hadn't had any decent sleep since August. He's been working here and there. Tanggap lang ng tanggap ng trabaho, kala mo mauubusan. She's been telling him na hindi naman masama ang magpahinga. That even superheroes take rest. Pero hindi, kayod pa rin ng kayod itong si Alden.

She smiled when she caught a sight of Alden's picture during his opening spiel in SPS. Ang gwapo. She mussed, wondering how the hell someone so handsome like Alden fell in love with a simple girl like her. Thank you po talaga, Lord. Hihihi.

"Meng, take na daw ulit," Jecker, her road manage, said as he popped his head inside her tent and motioned for her to come.

"Okay, sunod na ako," she replied as she composed a quick message for her Tisoy.

I so love your hair today, love. Ang gwapo gwapo mo. Di halatang wala ka pang tulog ng maayos. Hihihi. Swerte ko talaga. Anyways, take a good rest after SPS ha! Alam kong may mall show ka pa sa Rosario pero after that uwi na then tulog ha! See you tomorrow, love.

Maine could kiss Direk Mike when she heard those two grateful words from him. At last! Tulog, here comes Menggay!! She rejoiced inside her head as she made her way towards her tent.

"Ate, kanina pa tumatawag si Ms. Nate sayo," Dean, her younger brother, said as soon as she entered her tent. She reached for her phone and was almost shocked seeing that she has 500+ notifications on twitter even though she hadn't updated for the past hours.

"Bakit kaya?" Maine absentmindedly questioned as she sent a text to Nate asking why he was calling her then immediately opening her twitter.

Naku, baka naman may nasabing something si Je. Oh di kaya nilaglag na naman niya si Alden kanina.

She giggled to herself. Oh, how she loves it when Jerald always make sure that Laglagan wars is part of their segment. She just finds it cute seeing Alden flustered and stuttering.

"Oy, hala. Anong nagyari kay kuya RJ?" Dean mumbled, though Maine heard, as he was immensely looking at his phone.

Concerned, Maine looked at her brother. "Uy, anong nangyari?" she asked.
