---------------------------------------

3 years.

36 months.

156.429 weeks.

1095 days.

26280 hours.

I've been in this industry that long.

And as years passed by, I've somehow became an expert how to differentiate what's real and what's not. I've learned how to read people and see what their true intentions are. I've learned what is the difference between a true effort and an obligated effort.

All because I have the great example.

Alden Richards.

Alden to his fans, Richard or even RJ to his family, Tisoy to his friends. And to me?

Love.

Yes. He is the one I love. And over the years, I've come to master how to differentiate his off cam efforts and on cam efforts.

Reel is whenever Alden would quickly finish his segment in EatBulaga and drive the ten to twenty minute drive from Broadway to wherever location we're at with foods bought by the production staff .
Real is whenever Richard would distractingly finish his shoots in whatever part of the Metro and drive the one and a half-- maybe even two-- hour drive from wherever he is to my Bulacan home with a laksa and prosciutto and even cold cuts in tow because he knows it's my favorite.

Reel is when Alden would throw those corny-yet sweet- pickup lines the creative production staff searched over the internet just to see Yaya Dub laugh.
Real is when Richard would murmur sweet nothings in my ear, with promises of future enclosed in them, which never failed to bring out a genuine smile from my lips.

Reel is whenever Alden would go to the extent of asking Yaya Dub's Lolas' permission if he could bring her to a date, of course with a camera in tow.
Real is whenever Richard would present himself infront of my parents and politely ask them if he could bring me out on a date. And promises to bring me home in one piece, unharmed.

Reel is whenever Alden would painstakingly cut out heart shapes from colored papers and plaster them on one of the studio's wall with a "Happy Weeksary" message included.
Real is when Richard patiently wrote the things he loves (and hates) about me in small papers and encloses them in capsules, and made sure he filled the 1.5 liter of jar with his messages for my birthday.

Reel is when Alden would write or even say 'Aldub You' to Yaya Dub just to see a giddy smile cross her lips.
Real is when Richard would just stare at me whatever I'm doing something random and he would absentmindedly murmur the sweetest I love you I have ever heard in my 23 years of existence.

Reel is whenever Alden would come to studio 30 minutes earlier than his usual call time just so he can rehearse a song and dance number just to entertain the whole nation and of course Yaya Dub and her Lolas.
Real is when Richard would cancel his last appointment just so he could drive all the way to Bulacan and cuddle me close when the red flag is up , and he would sing softly into my ear my favorite song until I fall asleep and forget the pain I'm experiencing.

Reel are those kisses Alden steals whenever he thinks Yaya Dub and her Lolas are not looking.
Real are those kisses Richard gives whenever we are alone in my or his room- or anywhere we know we have privacy. Those kind of kisses where it leads to aggressively pulling off of buttons and scattered clothes around and will eventually end up with a sweaty tangle of limbs.

Reel are those glances Alden would give Yaya Dub whenever she would come out of the screen. The kind of glances where Yaya Dub would melt on the spot because it conveys his reel-love for her.
Real are those stares Richard would give me whenever would see each other again after a week of not seeing each other. The kind of stares where I could practically hear what his heart is screaming even when there's still a good meter between us.

I could go on and on about the things I find different between Alden and Richard-his on cam persona and his true self. But I don't think one day would be enough to elaborate all those things. I could write them all down but I just might bore you to death. So let me just share one more thing.

Above all those things, I have one favorite. My only favorite.

One thing that truly sets Alden and Richard apart.

And everyday for the past three years, he's been constant to remind me that whatever happens, as long as I know- and believe- what his heart contains, we can withstand every storm that comes along our way.

Reel is what Alden Richards feels for Divina Ursula Bukbukova 'Yaya Dub' Smash.

Real is what Richard Faulkerson Jr. feels for Nicomaine Dei Mendoza.
