I plop down on my bed with a loud sigh, I've been trying to find this stupid key all night now and still no luck. I grumble to myself and pick up the book, I open it up at a random page. The ugly book mark ensures I open it at the page I like least, the page the curse it placed on the valley. I pick up the book mark and inspect it, a long thing piece of leather with golden swirls painted on to it. The design at the bottom of it is what interreges me though a single pearl rests in the exact centre, I grin at the idea of pulling it out and the string of moon pearls following after it. That would be so cool, then I wouldn't have to risk my arse in that stupid De'noir house.
I tug at it and it comes lose, my eyes widen is it really that easy? I continue to pull it out, when it turns out to only be the key my hopes plummets. Of cause I'm not that lucky. I get up off the bed and decide it's a good idea to get ready to meet Loveday, not that we organised a time to meet or anything but I have a feeling she wants to meet earlier rather then later.
I have a feeling that bright colours aren't the best thing to wear when breaking into someone's house, not that I ever wear bright clothing anyway. I slip on my black, ripped skinny and a plain, black long sleeved top. I feel like my outfit will help me blend in, judging off the funeral crashers clans clothing choice. I add my leather jacket and a bandanna to cover my mouth and noise just in case I'm more recognisable then I think or they have wanted posters with my face on. I have an idea in my head about what the De'noirs will look like ad even though it is very unlikely for them to be slimy monsters I still like to think that's the case. But for all I know, they could all be super models, God I hope that's the case! I pick up three cookies for the journey, and make my way out the house.
"Miss Merryweather?" Miss Heliotrope asks from behind me, damn it how am I going to get away now?!
"yeah?" I ask stopping walking but not daring to look back,
"why on earth are you dress in that manner?" she asks, not angrily just shocked,
"I always dress like this" I say, trying to play mind games with her,
"no you don't-" she states, "-what happened to the girl with pig tails and a puffy dresses?" she asks, annoyed,
"she died." I reply then I start to walk again, faster this time,
"listen-" Miss Heliotrope starts, making me huff in announce, "-I know this move has been hard on you but if you nee talk I'm right here" she adds,
"thanks" I mumble then continue to the door, wishing she wasn't trying to have a heart to heart at 7 in the morning,
"where are you going at this time in the morning?" she asks causing me to cringe,
"I'm meeting a friend, don't wait up" I half lie,
"you made a new friend?" she asks gleefully. I never really had any friends back in London everyone thought me to be a bad influence just because I never acted or dressed proper, it's not that I even cared though friends are over rated,
"yeah" I reply,
"well, you have fun darling" she insists happily,
"I'll try" I mumble.
I jog towards the tree, impressed by the fact I can even remember the route. I jog into the tree and to the little wooden door. I knock a total of three times on the door, scuffing from the other side of the door indicates that Loveday is inside.
"morning, Blake aren't you the early bird-" she chuckles, "-I wasn't expecting you to show up till lunch, that's morning for most teens right?" she laughs again,
