"so if we don't have the pearls, you don't have the pearls-" I start while pacing in front of Robin and Loveday who are sat at the end of my bed, "-who does?" I ask as I start to chow on my nails and Robin eats the cookies I didn't get time to eat this morning, I cant imagine them not being hard by now but he doesn't see to care,
"we'll have to figure that out-" Loveday says after a second of thought, "-and fast" she adds as she glances out the window at the ever growing moon, "-we only have two more nights" she whispers, making my heart jump into my throat.
Only two.
"okay, we cant roll out any possibilities-"
"are you serious?" Robin asks in shock, cutting me off,
"what are you talking about?" Loveday asks, although I'm pretty sure she already has an idea,
"are you sure we can trust her?-" he asks pointing at me, "a Merryweather?" he adds with a hint of disgust, I swallow down my sadness and look towards Loveday who's glaring daggers at Robin,
"don't act like it's not the De'noirs who are the sly ones" Loveday snaps with sadness in her eyes, Robin looks away from her to the floor in shame. trouble in paradise?
"you know just as well as me, the Merryweather's aren't no saints" Robin says quietly,
"it's not them who kicked me out-" Loveday hisses, "-it was that stupid Coeur De'noir" she spits making Robin visibly flinch,
"the Merryweather's cant have been that hostel either" Robin says with a blank expression,
"both of you are as bad as each other" Loveday hisses, I rock on my heels feeling a bit out of place not being exactly sure what they're arguing about,
"don't forget you're a De'noir too" Robin whispers, are they married? Is the reason he hates the Merryweather's that Loveday and Uncle Benjamin had an thing?
"I was never a De'noir" she answers, she turns and walks into the fire place,
"Loveday!-" I shout making her stop in her steps, "-this isn't about you or him, this is about the valley-" I start, getting impatient with trying to find the damn pearls, "-now get your arse back in here and help us do what is needed to do, because if you don't we'll never manage to fix this bloody curse" I demand letting sleep deprivation get to me, Loveday's once beautiful face twists into a ugly sneer something I have never expected from her,
"I had my time, it's your problem now" she hisses the door slams closed, I stand there in complete shock,
"once a De'noir, always a De'noir" Robin mumbles as he comes and stand next to me, stuffing his face with cookies once again,
"what are we going to do?" I ask,
"we?" he asks,
"Yes. You're helping whether you want to or not" I growl,
"okay, princess calm it" Robin smirks,
"you're a lot more friendly now your girlfriend isn't here" I roll my eyes, thinking back on his hesitant-ness to help me earlier,
"you think Loveday's my girlfriend?" he asks, wide eyed,
"yeah" I conform as I take a cookie off the plate in his hand, he glares at me as I do so as if they're even his any way,
"she's my sister" he states calmly, as he walks back to the bed and I stand wondering if I was to harsh to her, "don't worry about it, she always has hissy fits" he adds, seeing my guilt,
"so what now?" I ask, walking closer to him,
"I don't know-" he says with a mouth full of biscuit, "-be sides, it's not like it really matters to a De'noir-" he continues, "-the curse is on the Merryweather's, not ours" he finishes, I look at him mouth wide open,
"are you stupid?" I ask,
"no." he growls, not enjoying the insult, "the first moon princess put it on the Merryweather's because he was trying to end the De'noirs" he spits slightly, looking at me as if I we're the very one he believes tried to kill his ancestors,
"that's ridiculous-" I hiss, "-here, read this-" I say pulling the book out from under the bed, he looks over the book cover then opens the first page,
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"how do I know this is reliable?" he asks as he finishes the last page for the second time,
"It's where I found the key, there's that" I state, hoping it's enough to convince him,
"okay, say I believe you-" Robin starts after a moment of thought, "then what?" he asks,
"we'll need to find the peals" I state, in a 'duh' tone,
"why should I believe any of this? You're a bloody Merryweather, I ought to kill you" he asks standing from the bed and pacing,
"I'm not asking you to do this for the Merryweather, do it for your family" I nod towards the fire place,
"fine" he sighs,
"great-" I grin, "-we have a lot to do, lets get started" I finish walking to my writing desk.
