I wake up feeling 100% rested, something that doesn't happen often for me.
This bed feels like a cloud and looking up at the stars that look as if they're moving make it feel even more like I'm on a cloud.
I look over to the bedside table as I swing my feet off the bed, on it there is a plate with cookies and milk, I smile at the idea maybe Uncle Benjamin had the idea to do something like this for me. I pick on up and take a bite of it, it tastes like heaven.
I bring my attention to the chair in the corner of the room and notice that a dress is lying over it. I walk towards it and hold it out in front to take a good look at it. I turn my noise up at the thing, it is by far the most ugly dress I've seen, it has a dark blue skirt with a light blue and dark blue petite coat. Shaking my head, I pick out a outfit that suites my style, a camouflage short sleeve top, ripped skinny jeans and army boots, eat that Miss Heliotrope.
I find my way to the dining room, with the book father left me tight in my arms. I smile at Miss Heliotrope, who is scoffing down a plate of what seems like kedgeree.
"What are you holding?" Uncle Benjamin asks sternly,
"A book, father left it for me" I say looking down at it,
"Well, it wasn't his to give" he grumbles as he rips it out my arms and hurries towards to door,
"You cant have it, father left it for me" I shout after him, but he doesn't so much as glance back,I go to chase after him but am stopped when Miss Heliotrope opens her mouth,
"Miss Merryweather! where are your manners?" Miss Heliotrope Hisses,
"But he-"
"Sit down and have breakfast" he demands,
"But my boo-"
"NOW" she snaps, I glare as I slide into the chair,
"It's not his to take, who does he think he is?" I ask,
"He's in charge of you, so if he doesn't want you to have the book you wont" she snaps, "Besides I'm sure he's just putting it somewhere safe for you" she adds then digs into her meal,
"I'm going for a run" I state as I stand and rush out the door.
'How fucking dare he! it's not his to take, and Miss Heliotrope just let him!' I scream in my head as I run out the gate.
I've always loved to run, ever since I can remember I've ran to clear my head and just be by myself. I run straight into the forest that surrounds Uncle Benjamin's home. I run as fast as I can, whipping past the trees and jumping over fallen branches. I let tears fall freely from my eyes, all of this is stupid I hate it. If my father was still here he would never had let Uncle Benjamin be so rude to me. The tears start to blur my vision so I stop and slid down a tree and berry my face into my knees, I scream into them in pure frustrating,
"I hate you, I hate you so fucking much!" I growl to myself, the sound of a branch snapping makes me raise my head, to see nothing.
I swear to god if Uncle Benjamin has followed me I'm going to lose my shit. I stand up and wipe my face free of tears, he doesn't deserve to see me cry, "Uncle Benjamin?" I ask, no reply, "Uncle Benjamin?" I mumble again, he doesn't reply, maybe it was a animal I shrug off. I should probably get back, I think as I turn to jog in the direction I came,
"Is Uncle being a meany, princess?" the funeral boy teases as him and his gang emerge from the tree's,
"You!" I growl, "Why do you keep following me?" I snap angry, him and his gang chuckle,
"You're coming with us now, my father has just been dying to meet your acquaintance "he smirks, he takes a step towards me and grabs my upper arm,
"What are you on about?" I ask him through narrow eyes, not letting the fact that he's holding my arm get to me. Out of no where Wrolf come running and barking like he's a savage animal, the gang of boys immediately back down,
"It's the devil dog!" one of his group of idiots exclaims,
"Come on Robin, lets get out of here" another shouts to 'Robin' aka the funeral boy, they all dash off into the woods. Robin more reluctantly then the other,
"Tell your father I say hi" I smirk, as he disappears into the trees but not before sending me a dark glare.
