----Braiden's POV----

I was in the waiting room with Thomas, Connor, Riley, and Toby while the parents went to go get some food. Rachel and Ariel still haven't showed up and Mr. Kyles told Mrs. Silvers he would come by with the kids later. It was around 8 by the time the doctor came into the waiting room to give us the test results.

"Hey guys. Are Lindsey's parents in the cafeteria?" Dr. Reese asked.

"Yeah. They should be back soon though." Thomas answered sleepily.

"I suppose I'll just let you guys deliver the news to them then. Lindsey's memory loss will only be temporary if you can find things that will trigger the memories. It could be one thing, or a different thing for each memory. Her perfect memory she has now though, will remain with her for the rest of her life. She'll be released tomorrow night." Dr. Reese said.

"So, we just have to find things that will trigger her memory? Like a place or a sound or a smell?" Connor asked.

"Exactly. She should still be awake if you boys want to go see her. I can wait for your parents and give them the good news." Dr. Reese said with a kind smile.

"Thank you." I said, starting the walk to Lindsey's room.

"Should we make her remember her time with Toby and Riley?" Connor asked.

"She wouldn't be who she is without them, so yes." I said as we neared her door. The door was slightly open, so I knocked on the door frame and opened it fully. Lindsey was sitting on the windowsill, staring out of the window.

"Hey Bear." Thomas said.

"Nickname?" Lindsey asked, not taking her eyes off of the city.

"Yeah. We used to call you Panda, because you like to climb trees. It just kinda morphed into Bear." Toby explained.

"I don't want my memory back." Lindsey randomly blurted.

"What? Why not?" I asked.

"From what my teammates told me, I was a horrible person. Always beating people up. I don't want to be like that. I could never hurt a fly, why would I want to break someone's nose?" She said, her eyes watering up.

"But that's the Lindsey we all know and love." Riley said, his eyes beginning to water up too.

"I'm not going back. I'm sorry, but I don't want to be some rude, inconsiderate b-word." She said, only now taking her eyes off of the window.

"She's not even swearing anymore. Guys, she's serious about this." Connor said.

"I used to swear too?" She asked, her eyes widening in horror.

"Worse than a sailor." Thomas laughed, shaking his head.

"Oh my gosh." Lindsey mumbled.

"Lindsey, please. You can't just give up who you are." Toby said.

"I'm not that person anymore Toby. This is giving me a chance to re-make my life, and I'm taking that chance." Lindsey sternly said.Toby, Riley and Thomas all stormed out of the room, beyond angry.

"Can I have a minute alone with her?" I asked Connor. He nodded and left the room silently. Lindsey was back to staring out the window. I sat next to her on the windowsill and looked out at the bright city before me.

"What about us?" I asked her after a few seconds of silence.

"I don't know. Considering I don't know anything about you, I can't say I like you in that way. Besides, you liked the old me, there's the possibility that you won't like who I become. It's probably better that we break up." Lindsey said, glancing at me.
