As soon as Quintin was out of sight I pulled the two guns from under my dress, stood up and pointed them towards the Vera's.
"Alright, we can either do this the easy way, or the hard way. Which do you prefer?" I asked, not yet giving the signal and seeing how much I could get out of them.
"It's very rude to point guns young lady." Mrs. Vera scolded.
"Does it look like I give a fuck? Now tell me, where are you getting all your weed?" I asked harshly.
"Why would I ever give information to you?" Dan sneered, not even bothering to stand up.
"Tell me or I shoot your wife." I said, cocking the gun one handed.
"You're bluffing." He said.
"I have one bullet in here and I don't know where it is. You better speak up." I warned. When he didn't answer me, I shrugged and pulled the trigger, scaring both Mr. and Mrs. Vera. The gun clicked, but the bullet wasn't in there.
"Tell her!" Mrs. Vera wailed.
"Shut it!" Dan barked, standing up now.
"Dan, Dan, Dan. This is your own gun. You should know that every single bullet is in here. Don't tempt me." I said, waving the other gun slightly.
"Dan! Tell her!" Mrs. Vera wailed again.
"5 seconds." I warned, placing my finger on the trigger again. Again, Dan didn't answer so I pulled the trigger. This time, there was a loud noise and a bullet flew straight into Mrs. Vera's left boob. Police suddenly filed in from all around the house and grabbed Dan and a screaming Mrs. Vera. I gave my guns to one of the members of the SWAT team and ran upstairs in a fake panic.
"Quintin!" I screamed. Quintin met me at the top of the stairs, a confused look on his face.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"The police just swarmed the house and I ran as fast as I could." I panted, hugging him tightly.
"Come on, we need to get out of here." Quintin said, leading me to one of the many hidden passages within the hallway.
"Quintin I'm scared." I wimpered.
"Hey, hey baby look at me. We'll be fine okay? Just follow me and stay quiet okay?" Quintin said quietly, taking my hand.
"Okay." I nodded. Quintin led us quickly through the dimly lit coridoors. We stopped abruptly at a 4 way thing and Quintin looked around, muttering under his breath.
"Shit shit shit." He muttered, grasping my hand slightly tighter.
"What's wrong?" I asked in a 'panicked' voice.
"I haven't been down here since I was like 8, I don't remember what hallway leads outside." He said, swirling around again.
"Hey, its fine we can just stay in here until people stop raiding." I suggested, grabbing his shoulders to get him to stop spinning.
"It's not safe for you." He said, staring into my eyes.
"Don't worry about me. I'm tougher than I look." I smiled.
"I know, I just don't want to loose you. Especially now." Quintin said, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me close.
"You won't." I said, planting a kiss on his lips. Quintin grinned and pulled me slightly closer, keeping his lips firmly connected to mine. Suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me away from Quintin.
"Quintin!" I screamed as Tanner pulled me away.
"Paige!" Quintin screamed back as Mike pulled him down the opposite hallway from me.
"Let go of me!" I screamed to Tanner, trying to make Quintin believe the thing. I struggled against Tanner and forced tears down my face. Mike pulled Quintin around the corner of his hallway at the same time Tanner pulled me around the corner of our hallway. Tanner dropped his arms from my waist and high fived me.
"I almost believed you." Tanner laughed.
"I just imagined that Quintin was Braiden......" I said shyly, looking down at my hands.
"Well Briaden is a very lucky guy to have you." Tanner said, slinging an arm around my shoulders.
"Yeah, I'm pretty awesome." I said, brushing my shoulders off.
"Oh shut up. You're just lucky that I stepped up to do this otherwise it would've been one of the SWAT guys pulling you away." Tanner grinned, leading me down the hallways expertly.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! SOME OF THOSE SWAT GUYS WERE HOT!!!!!!" I screamed.
"I know." Tanner winked.
"You seriously need to come out to your dad." I rolled my eyes.
"I will when he doesn't carry a gun." Tanner said.
"So at Thanksgiving? Or Christmas? Either way I am definetly going." I laughed.
"What about your actual family?" Tanner asked.
"Tanner, you are my actual family. You're my cousin and you always will be. Sorry bud, but there's no escaping me." I said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh shut up. Let's just get outta here." Tanner said, pushing me outside.
"Finally. I still have so much packing to do. Wanna come help me?" I asked, nudging my shoulder into his elbow.
"Only if I get free stuff." Tanner said, looping his arm with mine.
"I have a few things you might like. You're a size 4 in hot pink mini skirt, right?" I joked, unlocking my car.
"Bitch please. We both know I'm a 2." Tanner said, flipping his imaginary long hair.
"Whatever you say batch." I laughed, climbing up into the truck.
"So does Braiden know you're going home?" Tanner asked as I started my truck.
"Nope, no one in Florida other than my parents do." I said, signalling to turn onto a different street.
"So you're going to suprise them when they get home?" Tanner asked.
"Well, I'm probably going to be at Braiden's and suprise him then." I shrugged.
"Lindsey, can I ask you a really serious question?" Tanner asked. The big smile slipped off my face and i glanced at my weird cousin, suddenly scared.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Is Braiden the one for you? Do you love him so much to the point where when you saw him at the concert the world stopped. Do you love him so much that when you're not with him, he's the only thin that you can think about? Is he on your mind so much that you can't concentrate on anything else?" Tanner asked.
"Yes, he is. I've never felt such a strong love for anything else. Tanner, you of all people should know how much I love him. You were the first person I called when I thought my life wasnt worth living. You were the first person I called when I almost relapsed. Tanner, I couldn't and still can't live without him." I said, a small smile creeping up on my face.
"I just wanted to make sure. You're the closest thing I've had to a sister, especially since Ashley died, we were there for eachother and hopefully we always will be." Tanner said, putting a hand on my arm.
"We will, I can promise you that." I said, sneaking a smile at him.
"I call dibs on your couch." Tanner said, runing the moment as we pulled into my space. I rolled my eyes and laughed slightly.
I'll miss him.
