It had been a week since Ryan left the group, Michael and Ray cleared out the parking lot of zombies so the building and its surrounds were pretty safe. They had only spotted Ryan limping around once; they hoped they would never have to see their friend like that again, he didn’t deserve that, all he was doing was trying to get food for the people he loved like a family. Ryan’s wife and child haven’t been seen or heard from at all, the group hoped that they were alive and hopefully with other people to protect them.  Millie was doing surprisingly well considering the world she was about to grow up in now was full of things that want to kill her, Geoff had spoken to her about learning how to fight, just in case anything goes really wrong and she was left alone. The young girl had been given her own tyre iron from the boot of her mum’s car; Griffon scratched her daughter’s name in it to make it special to Millie. Gavin was not keen on having Millie out where he couldn’t protect her; he really did think of her as a sister and would do anything to keep her safe.

“We are running out of food, the bags we collected from the parking lot are nearly empty and we’re gonna need more supplies really soon” Courtney said to the group of people before her. “Also medicine and pain killers” Jack pitched in, Caiti still could not walk and the pain had only intensified since the mad dash to the car. Her knee had a deep cut in it and no one understood how she had cut herself on a flat parking lot floor and made a gash that deep. The crew didn’t have bandages so she had to keep inside and away from anything that could infect it, but the weird thing was, the gash wasn’t closing over and there weren’t and signs of scabs at all. “I think the infection that turns dead people into zombies is keeping your wound from healing” Griffon mumbled to Caiti.
