"You're...... but....... J-J-Josh..." my sentence trailed off as the space around me became pitch black and my vision began to tunnel in. "Yes?" he asked with a cute little smirk on his face. That's it, I'm going to pass out. "Catch me, please." and with that, I was out.
"Claire.... Claire please wake up..." I could hear a faint voice that sounded as if it were miles away and it may be. "Here, let me try. Claire bear it's time to wake up!!!!!!!!" Will's voice, definitely. "I'm gonna kill you Will! You have 5 minutes to run!" I jumped and noticed the terror in his eyes while Josh sat staring at me as if I was alive after being attacked by a vampire. I chased Will around the house until he could barely breath and had to sit down. "HA! Gotcha, now prepare to pay!" I yelled at Will as he sat breathing heavily. Great his asthma is kicking in. "Ugh, I'll go get your inhaler..." I came back moments later to find him perfectly fine and grinning like an idiot. "You. Little. Cheater! Ok this time you better RUN!" and the chasing resumed.
Twenty minutes later and we both couldn't take it anymore, our bodies needed rest. We laid down on the couch and shook hands over a truce. Josh was laying stretched out with his arms crossed behind his head on the couch opposite ours laughing at us and our sibling qualities. "Are you two done yet?" he asked Will "Because I would certainly like to talk to your sister so that I can explain everything that I wasn't able to tell her earlier since she, um, passed out.." he stifled a laugh as my face turned tomato red. I ran upstairs and laid across my bed acting as if nothing had ever happened. But soon, too soon, I heard footsteps trailing up the stairs that I only recognized as Josh's.
"You ok?" his eyes looking into mine with concern. "I'm fine, just a little embarrassed about passing out in front of Josh Hutcherson." I looked down not wanting to meet his gaze. I then felt his warm hand on my chin guiding my face up to his as he began to move his perfect lips. "You don't need to be embarrassed in front of me love. I'm just another person, another person that is in love with you." and then he kissed me, again. Our breath passed between us as we stopped momentarily not wanting to leave the other person but wanting to stay in the moment. He grabbed my hand and we walked over to the beanbag that was laying in the far corner of my room. After he took a seat in the middle of the small beanbag I sat down in his lap and looked at him asking with my eyes if he was ok with our seating arrangement. He just smiled that brilliant smile and began to consume my senses once again by pressing his soft lips to mine.
Only a couple of seconds had passed by and I pulled away. I wanted to talk to him and figure some things out, so kissing would have to wait. He gave me a cute little puppy dog face, and even though I found it quite irresistible, I had to resist. "You said you needed to talk to me and obviously we're not getting any talking done." I flashed a smirk as he laughed at my remark. "You're right, we're not. So, where do I begin?....."
Josh told me everything and when I say everything I mean everything. He told me the real reasons for things and why he had to stretch the truth all the time, he even told me about his "real life" before and throughout his career. I remained in his lap, nodding my head every once and a while showing that i was still listening until my mum called us down for dinner. Josh and I got up and walked down the long staircase to the first floor. The dinner table was only seated for two although it was filled with lovely food and....candles...? "Mum, what's all this for??" I looked at her hoping that it was for her and dad or at least someone else. "For you two of course." she flashed me her beautiful smile and I looked down at the floor hiding my blushing face as she continued, "your father will be home late so Will and I ate already.." as she trailed off everything clicked. She was trying to get us some stupid romantic dinner so that we would become a couple for sure. But I guess she didn't realize that we were basically a couple already. I looked up and turned around to face Josh, he smiled reasurringly and then thanked my mother for the meal ahead of time. Mum then walked out of the room to her bedroom, leaving us alone with candles and dinner, great..
I took a seat and said my own prayer while Josh looked at me a little qustionably which I was epecting. "You're christian?" he stated while picking up the fancy silverware my mum had set out. I laughed to myself thinking of how much my mum was trying to make this romantic. Fancy silverware, candles, just us two... What's next, I wonder?? "Yup, my family and I are christian." I love my religion and I wouldn't leave it for anyone, not even Josh. "Wow, I think that's great. You know, I've been thinking about finding a christian church to attend, at least until I decide if I want to be a christian or not." did he seriously just say that?! This. Is. Awesome!! "Seriously? That's awesome, maybe you could come over and i could have bible studies with you. We could ask my preacher to come over too if you want." I was so excited that I almost forgot to eat, but I remembered as I looked over at Josh who had already started eating. He whipped his mouth and looked at me with his dimpled smile. I smiled back and tried to eat through the excitment.
We talked until our plates were clean and the candles looked as if they were about to drip wax all over the table. It was a nice dinner but I didn't pay much attention to the food, haveing Josh Hutcherson right in front of me to talk to was much too captivating. I got up and began to clear the table as Josh kindly blew out the candles and hepled put up the leftovers. I picked up the dishes, placing them in the sink and washing them. I had just finished the first plate as I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist. I laughed and leaned into Josh as he smiled against my neck. We stood there like that for an hour or so, me washing dishes and Josh peering around every once and a while to sneak silly faces and cute dimpled smiles at me until all the dishes were clean and I was about to fall asleep. I turned around in his arms and leaned my head against his chest, "Josh I'm about to fall asleep." I mumbled into his shirt as his arms wrapped around me. "Would you like for me to carry you up the stairs love?" he whispered softly into my ear as if trying to cooe me to sleep. "No I can make it on my own, thanks though." I knew I wouldn't last up the stairs but it was certainly worth a try. I'm not sure how long we stood there like that but after some time I felt a pair of strong arms under my knees as I was swept up bridal style and carried to my room. I heard a faint "Goodnight love" as I was placed on the soft comforter before hearing Josh's boots shuffle to the door and travel down the stairs.
