My friends had just pulled up in Lexi's beautiful baby blue Volkswagen beetle and gotten out right in front of the old Great Escape Movie Theatre. Lexi, as usual, walked up to me and gave me the world's largest hug. The rest, Morgan, Ally, Daniel and Liza slowly walked up and greeted me with small hi's and hello's; which I am perfectly ok with. Just a few minutes later we filed into the movie theatre and waited in line for our tickets. We had planned on seeing the new Monsters Inc. movie but the theatre was much too crowded so we had to settle for a more action-packed film, Man of Steel, which is, thankfully, my kind of movie.

As we searched for the perfect seats before our scheduled showing I noticed a very familiar brown haired country looking guy just a few rows up. There was something about him that looked oddly familiar to me but I couldn't put a finger on it. Oh wait, I know who it is, he looks like.... Josh Hutcherson!! He had dashing hazel eyes and a very bright smile that seemed to make my heart skip a beat every time it spread across his face. His torso was adorned with a loose black t-shirt that cut off perfectly, showing the large muscles in his arms and his slight farmers tan on each arm. But the best part of all was the light brown cowboy boots sticking out from underneath his dark wash jeans. I'm totally a sucker for cowboy boots so by this point I was falling apart at the seams.

Lexi was the first to notice my little... dilemma. She, like everyone else, had already discovered our seats and occupied them, leaving me standing there looking like an idiot. As soon as Lexi saw me she grabbed my arm and broke me out of my little fantasy that had sprouted in my mind. I quickly mouthed a "thank-you" to her after realizing what was going on and she smiled back. Obviously trying not to laugh, no doubt, but I didn't care. I had found him, I had found the one.

Shortly after taking my seat the lights had dimmed and the long, annoying commercials had lit up the screen. My eyes flickered away from the screen to look for him. I just about jumped out of my seat upon realizing that the josh look-alike was sitting right in front of me. And of course, all of my friends saw my little jump and the quick splash of color on my face. I felt my cheeks burning as each girl began to giggle and whisper to one another in response. Quickly and quietly I politely told them to hush and, once again, turned to face the screen that now displayed "Man of Steel". I began to watch the movie, glancing down every now and then at him and then back up to the screen. He hadn't moved much the whole film but it was probably because of the strange "body-guard" kind of man that was seated next to him. He had kept a firm gaze on the exit and every person in the theatre the whole time, not paying a bit of attention to the movie. Even though he was dressed just like the josh look-alike, he still had that creepy look and feel to him; like he was meant to... well to protect him.

After (just the 6 of us) consuming: 3 bags of popcorn, one bag of skittles and 2 very large cokes the movie was finally over. I hadn't gotten a chance before the movie to meet the boy who had consumed my thoughts for the past two hours so now was my chance. I told Ally and Lexi what I was planning to do and then began walking over to my southern prince. He had gotten up and walked in front of his friend ("body-guard" as far as I know) to the exit before I could get to him so I increased my pace and soon found him. He was standing in the lobby in front of his friend who seemed to be talking on a...... is that a walkie-talkie?! Well, there's a first for everything I guess, so his friend was talking on a walkie-talkie, ok then. Anyways.... I slowly made my way over to him as he finished his conversation with, now known as, walkie-talkie man.

"Hello." I barely managed to say as I lightly tapped him on the shoulder. He quickly turned around and captivated my mind (again) with his breath taking smile. "Hello beautiful." Walkie-talkie man shifted on his feet uneasily as he said his first word to me. "I was just admiring your, ah... cowboy boots. I love cowboy boots, I mean I don't have any but I want some." Wow that came out sounding a lot worse than I thought it would, maybe he'll still talk to me. "Yeah they're my favorite shoes. They're really comfortable too and that's awesome since I have to walk around all day... Oh, my names Jo- uh John, yeah John. W-what's yours?" That was weird, he just forgot his name. Wow, sad. "Claire." "Claire, that's a beautiful name." "Thanks." I could feel the splash of color returning to my face as I said that, my cheeks were probably as red as tomatoes by now.

He bit his lower lip as he looked down at me and smiled shyly. Although, he was just an inch or two taller than me I still felt as if he was much taller. "So do you go to school around here?" he asked before taking his bottom lip in-between his teeth again. "Yes, I go to Mark Lane High school. I'll be in 12th grade this year." "Really? So will I, but I probably won't be able to go to, um Mark Lane..." his sentence trailed off leaving me a bit curious so I kept our conversation going. "Why not, it's a great school?" I asked with a little too much sadness in my voice, making my feelings quite apparent. "My, ah, parents. They want me to be homeschooled this year, just trying new things I guess." He flashed a smile at me and tried to look convincing, I could tell that he was upset about it though and that his parents were definitely not just trying new things.
