Gerard's P.O.V

Time Lapse>>>>>>>>>>

Next day.

Frank wasn't around, at all, when I woke up. His side of the bed was cold. I checked the house to find it completely empty. I sighed then took a shower. Afterwards getting dressed then heading out.
I arrived at the practice space twenty minutes later. As I'd already guessed, it was empty. So I sat at the table and jotted down some notes. But I couldn't concentrate. I couldn't help wondering where Frank was. He disappeared pretty quick this morning. I hope nothing bads happened. I guess I'll find out when he contacts me. Still doesn't make me feel better.
I stayed there for an hour. But still no word from Frank. In fact no one turned up. So I headed back home. On the way I decided to stop to pick up a coffee. I stopped the car outside my local Starbucks. But before I could get out, I saw Frank hugging a blond guy. I watched as the guy then proceeded to kiss him. I waited with baited breath for Frank to pull away. But he didn't. I froze as Frank smiled at the guy, then spotted me. A look of pure horror on his face. He headed towards me. I wiped my face of the tears I hadn't realized I'd shed. Then I started the engine and drove away. I didn't even look back at Frank. I just drove away.
After about twenty minutes of driving, my phone rang. I pulled the car over and looked to see who was calling. Frank. Should have guessed. I declined the call then dialled Lyn-z.

Lyn-z: "Hey, Gee. What's up?"

I tried to talk, but I couldn't form the words.

Lyn-z: "Gerard? Are you okay?"
Me: "No."
Lyn-z: "What's wrong? What's happened? Where are you?"
Me: "None of that matters right now. I need you to do me a favour."
Lyn-z: "Gerard, your worrying me. What's going on?"
Me: "Doesn't matter. Just do me the favour."
Lyn-z: "But...."
Me: "Please, Lyn-z. Your the only one I can trust with this."
Lyn-z: "Okay, okay. What do you need me to do?"
Me: "Tell Bryan I'm sorry. Tell Ray and Bob that I'm sorry too. Tell Mikey, Mum and Dad I love them and I'll miss them....."
Lyn-z: "Gerard, your really scaring me."
Me: "I'm sorry. Just do it for me. And tell Bandit that I love her and I'll be in touch really soon. Tell her I just need to get away for a while. To sort my head out. Make sure she knows it's not because of her. I love her so much, Lyn-z. You know I do. I just....I wouldn't be going if I didn't. I don't want her seeing me like this. So I'm going to get myself sorted. Will you do this for me? Please?"
Lyn-z: "Of course I will. But....will you be okay? Can you at least tell me what's happened?"
Me: "I'll be fine. But I'm not telling you what's happened. I'm sorry. I can't."
Lyn-z: "It's to do with Frank, isn't it? Has he hit you? I'll fucking kill him...."
Me: "It is to do with Frank. But he hasn't hit me. Just drop it. Please."
Lyn-z: "Okay, okay. But at least call every day so we know your okay."
Me: "I will. I promise. Thanks. I gotta go. Bye, Lyn-z."

I hung up before she could answer. Now to work out where to go. It has to be somewhere where I won't be recognized. Somewhere where no one will think to look for me. How the fuck am I going to do this? Being famous can be a fucking curse sometimes.
My phone started ringing again. Frank again. I declined it, then turned my phone off and put it in the glove compartment. Then I started the car and drove.

Five hours, two coffees later and I found a small village. The sign read 'Welcome to the village of Dawn Star. Population: 209.' I smiled. Only 209 people here. Has to be unaware that I even exist. At least I hope so. I stopped the car and wound my window down as I saw a old man sat on his porch.
"Excuse me, sir." I called out. "Could I trouble you to point me in the direction of the nearest hotel, please?"
The old man smiled. "Such a polite young man." He said. "Of course, son. It's just across the road, there. Owned by a really nice young lady called Coline Jessup. Be sure to tell her old man Ken is looking forward to her tasty casserole."
I smiled. "Thank you, Ken?" I queried. "My name's Gerard, by the way."
"Pleased to meet you, Gerald."
"It's Gerard, sir." I corrected.
Ken grinned. "That's what I said, Gerald."
I smiled. "Oh yes. Sorry. My mistake."

Coline Jessup was in her late twenties. She had short red hair, green eyes, slim and tall. Pretty enough to be a model. She was dressed in blue jeans and a red, plain t-shirt. No make up.
She smiled as I approached the front desk.
"Good evening, sweetheart." She greeted, cheerfully as she openly checked me out. "How can I help you?"
I smiled back. "I'd like a single room, please." I said, pretending I didn't notice.
"How long will you be with us, handsome?"
"I don't know just yet." I replied. "A week, maybe two?"
Her smile widened. "Room 163." She said, passing me a key. "Twenty six a night. Breakfast at 8. Call if you need anything, sugar. And I mean absolutely anything."
Yay. Booty call. Pity I'm gay.
"Err...thanks?" I said, then headed towards the stairs. I was uncomfortably aware that she was watching my ass.

That night I laid in bed with the door locked. I cried myself to sleep as I kept playing the scene of Frank and the blond guy, kissing.

Notes

I know updates are slow and I apologise for that. But life and health issues have got in the way. I can't see that ending in the near future. So please bear with me. Thank you.
Love as always. xxx
