Quiver of Arrows
I had a quiver full of arrows,
but no bow to string them.
I had a quiver full of fears,
but no heart to fling them.
I had a quiver full of sorrows,
yet no bow to send them on their way.
I had a sheath of gleaming silver,
but no sword to fill it.
I had a sheath of youth,
but no sword to defend it.
I had a sheath full of enemies,
yet no sword to challenge them.
I had a sheath of gleaming silver,
but no sword to fill it.
I had a quiver full of arrows,
but no bow to string them.
