Entwined
In a cave on a mountain slope two dragons meet the sunlight.
Both their scales sine bright as embers in a fire.
But greater than their desire for gold is their love for each other.
The female stretches out her neck and soars into the air.
The male watches, then with a surge of strength spirals after her.
Two mates together circling high, in a dreamy trance.
As they perform a scared dragon dance.
She flings her wings to the setting moon.
He spreads his to the rising sun.
A memorable day has just begun.
Together they fly high in the sky.
Two black flecks far above in the endless blue.
He lets out a column of fierce orange flames.
She answers with a breath of fire.
They circle higher.
Till far above the curve of the earth, he wraps his strong arms around her.
And together they fly as one, under the burning eye of the sun.
As night approaches they return to the cave,
Eyes alight with a powerful internal light.
They entwine their tails and necks of glittering scales.
And wrapping their wings around each other they dream of the day's flight.
They are forever entwined in ties that bind.
And bound together by love deep in their dragon hearts.

This poem may not be the best but it is very meaningful to me, since it is more than two dragons in love.
Hope you enjoy!
