A city surrounded beyond all hope.
A city taken her king bound in rope and chains,
Her people crying in their pains.
All her heroes and knights locked away.
But soon a search does start,
For the escaped Lionheart.
Her King's cell she unlocks and spirits him away.
Through his now dark city past those left behind.
Running quietly lest the enemy find.
The King strong and smart a fine match for a Lionheart.
They flee far away but still they both stay the same.
A Lionheart and a King with his crown.
Though they rule over no city or town.
Past mountains piled with fear they flee.
Over the black sea.
Till they can return in victory.
But now the King stands alone and apart,
except for the loyal Lionheart.
And as their world seems to crash to an end.
When the King thought he would fall apart,
He found himself holding the hand of the Lionheart.
The King wished a city to restart to rule alongside his Lionheart.
And thus began a city to rise,
That rivaled the old one under darker skies.
And the city was full and bright,
Yet still there was a worm of blight.
In revenge a dart was prepared for the King's mighty heart.
And as he walked among the gardens,
The fell bow was bent back and with a flicker shot forth death...
But one was quicker...
The devil's dart found a different mark...
In the chest of the Lionheart.
The city and her King mourned the lost with pain,
The passing of a hero with so much fame and love to gain.
For she had saved her beloved King from the cursed dart,
And truly was a Lionheart.
