“He’s weird,”
“Um, that’s probably how I would have reacted if I didn’t know Cleo,”
We both burst out laughing. It was true but still! The shocked look on his face was priceless! Oh well. I looked over at Taka. She wasn’t laughing; she was staring at me like I had grown a trunk for a nose.
“What’s wrong? I have potion all around my mouth don’t I,” Damn, should have known. She just shook herself out of her daze and said it was nothing. “Are you sure? Because if I do then that would just look horrible!”
Taka sighed, “No, I just thought you looked, oh don’t worry,”
“No no, tell me. I would really like to know!”
“Um, you looked a little… green, but I must have been seeing things. Don’t worry about it, I was seeing things.” Um… I have no idea what to say about that.
“Okaaaaaaay, yes, yes you must have defiantly been seeing things,” I said. Taka nodded and put her thumb up. “Hey, doesn’t that hurt when you do that?”
“Nope,” Taka said, sitting up. “Do you think humans heal slower than us?”
“Maybe…” I sat up, no pain. “Cool, so I guess we can finally go now?”
“Yup, let’s go,” we stood up, grabbed our bags and walked out of the hell hole. “Which way to the exit?”
“Shouldn’t we sign out or something first so they don’t just walk in and find us gone? They may even think we were kidnapped or something,” Taka asked, cautiously looking around for somebody. Did I mention the halls are empty, well that’s if you can call them ‘halls’ anyway. Besides our door there is only 3 more doors, and then a long narrow hallway that looked like it went on forever.
“Don’t stress stress-head, let’s just go. So, no way am I seeing what’s behind all those doors, let’s take the hallway,” Taka said a few objections or something but I just grabbed her arm and began pulling her along down the hallway.
~1 minute later~
“Are we there yet? My legs hurt and so does my arm. Can you let go of my arm by the way? It’s leaving a big red mark,” Taka whined, oh that’s right, I haven’t let go of her arm yet.
“No, we’re not there yet, it’s only been a minute or so, so far,” I said and continued dragging her along.
“Okay, okay, I won’t whine anymore if… you let go of my arm. Seriously, my arm is numb!” Taka said as we continued walking. Hey, did I mention the hallway had very bright lighting which hurts your eyes and bright white walls which hurt your eyes just as much. I’m not gonna whine though, otherwise Taka will probably be angry and just pull me back the way we came to see what’s behind those doors. No, no more doors, I’m sick of door. No whining, no siree. Not yet that is.
~10 minutes later~
“I’m tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrred, can you carry me?” I asked Taka as she stubbornly skipped about 10 metres in front of me. She turned around at me as I dragged myself over to where she was. She raised her eyebrow.
“And why would I do that?”
“Because you don’t look tired,”
“It was your choice to go this way, so you can’t complain,” With that, she skipped off leaving me to try keep up. Why? Why didn’t I just either stay in that room or see if I could get out through one of those doors.
For the next few minutes I slowly trudged along, trying to keep up with Taka who seems to be full of energy. I forced my eyelids open to see Taka disappear into the wall. Wait what? She walked into a wall?
