Beware of the House (The unedited version)

Chapter 3 - Cleo and Tanika

I hope your liking the fact that the chapters are going to start being longer now. To the few people who read my story - thank you! I will add a new chapter everyday, long or short there will be a new chapter :)

So now I'm a goblin, perminately?!?! Oh I wished I had dressed as something better cause now I have very little hair and I'm extremely ugly, maybe a devil or vampire perhaps? This is coming from a girl who doesn't really care what she looks like so believe me I'm ugly.

All these thoughts were racing through my head and I didn't realize that Taka was trying to get my attention by waving her hand in front of my face which now had long yellow nails and clicking her long fingers next to my ears.

"Sorry!" I said, apologizing, standing up and straightening my blank clothes.

"Don't worry about it, your just a little shocked is all. Now what should we do? All I can see is whiteness!" Taka exclaimed.

"We should probably head back since there is nowhere else to go. What exactly did Cleo say to you while I was running?"

"Oh, nothing really. She just walked up to the door and stared. She said a few words along the lines of 'This is your home now, feel free to run after her.'"

"Oh, don't vampires normally say stuff like 'If you run, I'll kill you' or 'If you try to escape or touch any of my things, I'll drink you dry!'"

"Umm, Minigeisha, you never met a vampire before today. How would you know?"

"Err, books and movies?"

Taka rolled her eyes and we continued walking straight ahead, we'll get somewhere right? I have no idea which way the house is.

After about 5 mins walking we saw the mansion again, and there stood Cleo in the doorway waiting for us. Her face was expressionless so I didn't know whether she was happy to see us or angry that we ran away.

"Hi," she said. She smiled. There we go! Now she's not expressionless or scary anymore!

"Hi?" Taka and I both questioned together. Not sure of what to say.

"Don't worry!" She said, "Every newcomer acts the same way when they find out I'm a vampire and that they're not human any more ect, ect. You can talk to some of the others if you like."

So there's more people...

"Cool," Taka said. "I would love to meet some more people since you know..."

"We gotta live here now" I finished for her, smiling.

"Ok then. I guess I'll show you to your rooms so you can see where you can sleep and stuff. Then I'll introduce you to the others." Cleo said, smiling.

We walked up the stairs and along the hallway upstairs. This house is huge, I thought. I could hear an orchestra playing some old fashioned tune. The sound kept getting louder. Suddenly I realized that there was a flute flying around playing itself, followed by another flute, 3 trumpets, a trombone, a double bass jumping along, a few violins and violas, drums and you get the picture. A whole ORCHESTRA!!! Lastly there came a girl with a pumpkin head and was wearing a long black robe and holding a conductors rod/stick thingy.

"Hi Tanika!" Cleo said. "Meet Taka and Minigeisha! They're the new family members from this year!"

"Hi girls" she said, smiling. "I was the newbie last year so feel free to talk to me whenever you like. I'm just in the room next to yours," she paused for a second... "Just wondering, have you guys seen your rooms yet?"

Cleo smiled and said, "Girls, you can either share or have your own rooms, it's no bother. What would you like to do guys?" She gave us a questioning look whilst moving her long fringe out of her eyes.

I looked at Taka. "What so you want?" I asked her.

"Mmm, I don't mind you can choose," she said mumbling sleepily.

"I know!" I said. "Can we have both have our own rooms that have a separate door between them as we'll as a bedroom door of you know what I mean?"

"Yes, yes, like I said you can have whatever you like. Here's your rooms" Cleo said while pointing at two doors.

"That's a good idea! See look here's my room!" Tanika said, pointing to the room to the left hand side if our rooms.

Cleo smiled, "Ok, Tanika, you can go to bed now cause it is late now, and Minigeisha and taka, can you girls please fill out these sheets if paper?" She handed us both a sheet of paper each which a bunch of questions on it and a pen as Tanika yawned and went to bed.

"Good girls" Cleo said once we had finished. "Now you see that A5 slot there on the door?

"Yes" we both said.

"Ok now slip it in. If you don't do this your room will be pretty bare. Whiteness everywhere, not even a bed"

We both put them in. After slotting them in, they turned our favourite colours and our names both appeared in big, curly print instead of the questions and answers.

"Go in now, it's bed time. If you need anything just ring the bell next to your bed, only in emergencies though because the bell man tends to get angry. All good?"

We both nodded and walked into our rooms.
