Chapter 25 - Betrayal

Minigeisha's POV

I yawned as I sat up; time for lunch... wait - that's right. I get to drink my very last dose of potion today!! I walked over to where I had dumped my bag and took out the jar my potion was in, opened it and began sculling it down. Yeh, I can't be bothered mixing it with water or anything but this'll get it down faster so I can celebrate earlier. Anyway, I want to get it all down in time; otherwise there could be major consequences, since it is already... wait its only 11:59? OMG I DRANK MY POTION 1 MINUTE EARLY AND I SHOULD BE DYING THIS VERY SECOND ONLY I'M NOT DYING WHICH IS STRANGE AND SUPERNATURAL!

Okay, now that I have that out of the way, I'll adjust my phone because day-light savings are over. All better now, its 12:59.

Gee, I think I must have some serious side-effects from that potion... oh well, not like I'm gonna be drinking it anymore.

I chucked the huge dark wooden jar my potion was once in in the bin, before walking into the bathroom. Yup, the human potion has defiantly worn off now; I'm 100% goblin now and for once I actually don't care because all my imperfections I once had are gone due to the Beauty potion. I now have thick black hair which goes about 3 inches past my shoulders. All my gross gobliny warts are gone as well as the wrinkles. I'm glad I took the potion.

Hmm, I wonder if me mixing water with the potion affected it in any way... oh well.

I shrugged as I began heading out of the room and down stairs. The second I walked out of the room I froze in shock. All my giddiness from the potion went out the window. The sight before my eyes was so terrifying I couldn't take my eyes off it. Was this all already here before I went to bed or did this all happen when I was sleeping?

I looked closely at the gruesome sight before me; a girl of about 9 is hanging by her foot from the ceiling about a metre in front of me; her platinum blonde hair streaked with blood, a big cut going from about her temple to her chin dripping blood on the floor and creating a huge puddle of blood. This isn't the only blood puddle in the hallway though; another child, also of about 9, has created one of his own.

He's in a sitting position, up against Taneka's bedroom door, in such an awkward position you could tell he had some broken bones and above him are several long trails of blood as if he'd been shoved up against the door by his neck, then let go - then him being tired and feeling as if he'd faint slithered down into a sitting position. I shivered away the horrible image and continued looking around.

There were more bleeding bodies around too, all looked as if they were about 6 to 20 years old. Most bodies looked long gone; but others were still bleeding fresh blood. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck shoot up when I heard someone struggling to breathe... I looked around until I saw a body which was still moving; their breathing seemed forced, unnatural and uneven. The boy looked about 12 and had longish brown hair which was all mattered and stuck together with blood; I rushed to his side.

"It's okay, you're, you'll pull through. You can do it. Who did this to you?" I asked. I recognised him from somewhere...

He took in a shallow, uneven breath, "I - I, you're a - a goblin too?"

"Yes, yes I am," I know where I recognise him from now, he's that one other goblin I had seen at lunch one my first day here... I sighed. With out the right medicine or spells he won't pull through. I went to pick him up to take him to the kitchen where Bethany could fix him like how she tried to fix Cleo's cousin... I wonder if she pulled through, the boys hand shot up to stop me, "I'm going to take you to Bethany and Cleo, they'll help you. I know they will."

He took in a long yet shallow breath, "No... they - they'll get me... f-finish me off... I-I want to stay here,"

"Who's behind this? I'll stop them. Who's left?" I asked, I need answers so I can try stop this madman... or woman.
