Chapter 33: Truth behind a lie

Vilu: I'm sorry...

Leon: Wait, are you serious that you wrote it?

Vilu: Yes...

Leon: But, that is not like you. Are you really sure you did it? Or are you just taking the blame so that everything will be easier for the both of us?

Vilu: Well... I....

Leon: Come on Vilu. The truth.

Vilu: (Sigh) Fine... There is a twist. I was the one who wrote that letter because I was furious at Lara. But that was meant to be a draft. I threw it away in the bin after that. I don't know who sent it to her.

Leon: (Confused) So you wrote it but you didn't send it to her.

Vilu: That's right.

Leon: Then who did?

Vilu: That is something we need to find out.

Leon: This reminds me of the time when you wrote that email to me remember? You called me selfish and all.

Vilu: Yeah... Turned out, it was my dad who sent that email to you.

Leon: In this case, I don't think he would do such a thing because he don't even know about the letter.

Vilu: True...

Leon: So then why did you deny it when I asked you in front of Lara?

Vilu: I didn't want her to think that I was a bad person. I would never do such a thing to anyone. That letter was just for me to let out all the anger inside of me that I have. It was unintentional. I didn't mean it.

Leon: I understand. But Lara needs to know about this.

Vilu: She does doesn't she? Well, I will just confess to her that I did it but with a different story behind it.

Leon: Which is?

Vilu: I will just say that I did it because I was jealous of how smart and beautiful she is from me.

Leon: Vilu, no one is going to believe that. Not even Fran. We all know you are not like that.

Vilu: Well, you'll just have to make them believe it.

??: Make who believe what?!

Vilu and Leon turned around and saw Lara and Fran standing right in front of their room door folding their arms in suspicion.

Vilu: How did the both of you get in here? Don't you guys know its rude to to just enter a house without knocking?!

Lara: Don't you both know its rude to talk behind out backs?

Leon: Girls, what are you doing here at night?

Fran: I came to talk to Vilu. However I see now that there is nothing else to talk about.

Lara: We heard everything.

Vilu: Were you both spying on us?

Fran: It doesn't matter.

Lara: What matters is that I heard the truth finally come out of your mouth Violetta. So you really did it?

Fran: I can't believe that you would write that letter and send it to Lara just because you were jealous that she was more smarter and beautiful than you.

Vilu: Are you both sure that you heard everything I told Leon? Because if you did, then you would know the REAL truth.

Fran: Which is?

Vilu: It doesn't matter now. What matters is that I confessed. Happy?

Fran: I'm not. Why didn't you say so earlier? Then I would've been less mad.

Vilu: Fran, there is no such thing as "Less" mad for you. When your mad, your mad.

Fran: Hmph, true.

Lara: You know what? That's it. I thought I could be friends with you Violetta. I tried to. But you proved to me that you are not worth being friends with. I'd rather have friends like Francesca or Cami and even Leon

Fran: Yeah, I thought I know you Violetta. I guess I was wrong.

Vilu: (Took a feel breathe and went down the stairs) Alright, 2 things. First, Lara, I have a quote for you. "Never be too quick to judge"

Lara: (Followed behind her) And what does that suppose to meant?

Vilu: Well, Maybe you should put some time to think about it in that big engineer brain of yours.

Lara: Excuse me?!

Vilu: Oh, I'm not insulting. I'm asking you to think. Its not personal.

Lara: ..........

Vilu: And you my dear Francesca, If you really have known me from before, then you would know the "Real" me. If not, then you never knew me. All those times we've spent together are all wasted.

Fran: I don't get it.

Vilu: Well you don't need to. I've already confessed, you all know the truth now, and you both hate me. End of story.

Fran: Vilu, is that tears in your eyes?

Vilu: What? NO! I was cutting onions in the kitchen for me and Leon's dinner later and apparently it got into my eyes.

Fran: But you were fine just now.

Vilu: STOP asking questions. I thought you people hate me?

Fran: Actually-

Vilu: BYE! (Opened the door)

Fran: (Went outside with Lara) Uhm-

Vilu: (Slammed the door shut)

Leon: Vilu...

Vilu: (Started crying) Why did I tell that?! Now they hate me more.

Leon: (Held her tight) I told you it was a bad idea. Just come clean to them and tell them the real truth.

Vilu: (Cried) No. That is the most convenient truth. Let them believe that version of it. I'm tired of being the "Innocent" one. The most important thing is that the love of my life is the only one who knows the entire truth.

Leon: (Hugged her tight) Don't worry okay. Everything will be fine.

Vilu: (Cried) I hope.

Leon: (Kissed her head)
