Chapter 56: Remembrance

2 days later in the morning, Violetta was still asleep on the bed but in her mind, she was already awake. She placed her hands over at the other side of the bed hoping to be able to hold Leon but to her dismay, she couldn't feel him. She opened her eyes to look and found he wasn't there. Then she heard the shower sound and automatically knew he went in so she waited patiently for him to come out.

10 minutes later

Leon: (Came out of the shower and saw Violetta sitting on the bed with her legs and arms crossed)

Vilu: Why, good morning Lion. (Smiled and got up)

Leon: (Confused) Good morning...? Why are you calling me that? The only person who has called me that, is Ludmila. Please don't be like her.

Vilu: So what's wrong if I call you that?

Leon: Nothing wrong.... It just sounds weird when you say it.

Vilu: (Laughed) Nah, I'm just teasing. Good Morning.... LEON.

Leon: (Smiled) Ah, that's better.

Vilu: (Laughed) Where's my "Good morning" hug?

Leon: (Laughed and hugged her)

Vilu: (Smiled) I'll go take a shower first. Then we'll talk okay?

Leon: (Smiled) Of course. I'll go downstairs and make breakfast.

~Later~

Leon: (Setting up the food on the table)

Vilu: (Came down) Hey Leon.

Leon: Vilu, you're just in time. Breakfast is ready.

Vilu: Man, you're the best. I couldn't ask for a better guy than you.

Leon: (Laughed) I'm glad. Shall we eat?

Vilu: Sure. (Smiled and sat down)

Leon: (sat down)

Vilu: So Leon, what are your plans for today?

Leon: Well, first things first. I'm gonna go gift shopping

Vilu: For what?

Leon: So that I can buy a gift for my mother.

Vilu: But why?

Leon: You honestly forgot what day it is today didn't you?

Vilu: I think...?

Leon: Its mother's day Vilu. Today is Mother's day.

Vilu: Oh, I must've forgot.

Leon: I can't wait to buy my mum a gift. She'll be so overwhelmed with joy. I'm thinking of buying her something simple to let her know how much I really love and appreciate her for whatever she has done for me over the years. Its going to be so touching. (Looked at Violetta)

Vilu: ...............

Leon: (Guilty) Oh, Violetta... I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to....

Vilu: (Developed a smile) Its alright, I understand. So... What are you gonna get your mum?

Leon: No, Violetta.... I'm really sorry. I forgot that your mum...

Vilu: Its alright Leon. I'm okay... We can't change the past.

Leon: Tell me, is there anything I can do to help? I really want to.

Vilu: (Shook her head) There's nothing you can do Leon. What's gone, is gone. And that's final.

Leon: Well, have you ever planned of... Visiting your mother?

Vilu: (Shook her head) What for? The more I think of her, the more I feel like breaking down into tears. The last thing I need is to see her grave, the place where she is supposedly resting.
