Seven Swordsman Shiro: New Agee

Episode 4: New Girl in Town

"Since we can't attack the town directly, we're sending you to see if the abomination is hiding there. You know how to sense it, correct?"

"I do. I'll deal with it, Captain." Out of the darkness appears a girl with long, straight pink hair and teal-colored eyes. She wears a uniform consisting of a tight pink shirt, a short white skirt, and metal shoulder pads.

Meanwhile, Shiro and Liliana are walking to school.

"Thanks Shiro...for yesterday." Liliana blushes.

"I swear I will protect you from anything." Shiro looks at her seriously. She smiles.

"Thanks, though I'm capable of taking care of myself. I'm actually stronger than you, you know?" Shiro clenches his fists.

"I know, but I'll get stronger so I can actually protect you."

"Thanks Shiro. I'll ask Kiyo-Sensei if we can start training soon" Liliana tells him. They head to class and sit at their desks soon after.

"Alright students, we have another new student entering our class." Kiyo-Sensei announces. The new student then enters the room. She is the girl with long pink hair and teal eyes, now dressed in the school's uniform. Shiro feels something in his heart. He looks at Kiyo-Sensei. She looks back with reassurance.

"Greetings, I am Emi Sayami and I will be joining your class." She looks at Shiro. He feels a chill run down his spine.

"There's a seat in front of Shiro over there. You can sit there." Kiyo-Sensei points at the empty desk in front of Shiro. Emi nods, then heads over to the desk and sits down.

At lunch, Emi turns around and looks at Shiro. So your name is Shiro, correct?" she asks. Liliana glares at Emi.

"Yes, my name is Shiro. Nice to meet you, Emi." He smiles at her. She keeps a hard stare on him though. "Uh, is there something wrong?"

"No, but I have a favor to ask of you."

"What is it?"

"I'd like to be your friend."

"What!?" Liliana steps out of her seat and stands next to the two. "This is where I draw the line. What are you doing asking to be Shiro's friend out of nowhere!?"

"Uh, who are you?" Emi asks.

"My name is Liliana and I am Shiro's best friend, so if you want to be his friend then you'll have to go through me!"

"Okay. I'll be your friend too."

"Emi, I don't think you understand how friends work. Join us for lunch and maybe you'll understand" Shiro suggests.

"I agree with your suggestion. Where do I eat this 'lunch'"

"Liliana and I sit in front of the cherry blossom tree outside. Liliana, can you take her there? I'll meet you both there in a second" Shiro replies.

"Ugh, alright. Follow me, Emi." Liliana leads Emi outside and to the cherry blossom tree. After all students had left the room, Shiro approaches Kiyo-Sensei.

"Sensei, you sensed it too, right?" Shiro asks.

"I did, though it was fairly weak. That Emi girl is no doubt an Angel though."

"I knew you'd say that. What should I do?"

"She said she wanted to be your friend, correct? That's the best course of action; get her to join the AAWK, but if combat does erupt, you have permission to kill her" Kiyo-Sensei tells him seriously.

"K-Kill? There's no way I can kill someone, even if they're an Angel."

"We'll see. Now go."

"Sensei, before I go, can you buy us lunch?" Kiyo-Sensei looks at him in confusion. "I want to spend as much lunch time getting to know Emi as I can, but that won't happen if I spend half of it in the lunch line." Kiyo-Sensei sighs.
