Shiro's group arrives at the very small town, consisting of only four houses and a small market, that goes by the name Littleton.
"This place is actually this little!? I guess that's why they call it "Littleton" then ha ha" Shiro jokes.
"Why would Demons attack such a small town anyways? Sounds like a waste of time" Liliana wonders.
"I don't know, but Demons are very unpredictable. They kill for the fun of it. Truly despicable" Emi replies.
"I agree! Evils beings like Demons don't deserve to live in a world full of justice!" Juno adds.
"But they aren't even here yet" Shiro says.
Strange. How does Sensei know they're going to attack here? There must be something about this town that will answer that question!
Waiting at the entrance is a chubby, middle-aged man with a brown buzz cut, brown goatee, and brown eyes.
"Hello! Greetings!" the man greets.
"Uh, hey. Are you the mayor of this town?" Shiro asks.
"I am! Are you all members of the AAWK!?"
"We are. How do you know?" Liliana asks.
"I heard rumors of the new AAWK being led by an eye-patched boy! So what brings you here!? Are you on your way to a big city under attack!?"
"No. Your town is the target of evil, so we're here to vanquish it" Juno replies.
"My town?!" The mayor looks at Shiro seriously. "You're joking, right? There's like only four houses here."
"Well..." Shiro looks away. "We believe your town is the target of the Winged Killers."
"Alright well do your thing. I'll be in my home playing video games and drinking energy drinks" the mayor says as he heads for the largest of the four houses.
"He's not really a dependable mayor" Emi comments.
"Yeah, but we can get prepared for the battle to come at least" Shiro says.
"How will we do that, Shiro?" Liliana asks.
"Hmm, you decide Emi." Shiro looks at her. Her face turns red.
"Wh-Why me!?" she replies.
"There's something I want to check out. Can you do that for me?" Liliana look at him angrily. Emi sighs.
"Alright, I'll think of something" she decides.
"I'll help too, Corporal!" Juno tells her. Shiro smiles.
"Thanks. I'll meet up with you all later" Shiro says as he begins walking to the opposite end of town.
"Shiro, wait." Shiro turns around to see Liliana chasing after him.
"Liliana!? Why are you following me?" he asks.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm just looking around for something the Demons would want."
"I see. Can I come with you?" Shiro looks at her in shock.
"Shouldn't you help Emi and Juno though?"
"There's nothing we can do to defend this town right now. We should just all search for this thing together. Why do you want to do it alone?" Shiro looks away. "Is it because you think it'll be too dangerous?"
"It might be, so if I'm the only one..." Liliana hugs him. "Liliana?"
"It'll be okay. Let's all go together." Shiro hesitates, then nods.
