Seven Swordsman Shiro: New Agee

Episode 2: The Winged Killers Strike

Shiro awakens in a hospital in Aurora. An eye patch covers his right eye. In the room with him are Liliana, Kiyo-Sensei, and a doctor.

"Where am I?" Shiro asks.

"You're at the hospital, Shiro" Liliana replies sadly.

"Why am I at the..." A flashback of the incident at school suddenly appears in Shiro's mind, causing his left eye to grow wide. "Akito. Is Akito here!?"

"Sorry, but he didn't make it" Kiyo-Sensei tells him.

"No way..." Shiro touches his eye patch with one hand. "Is my eye okay?"

"Yes, as expected" Kiyo-Sensei replies.

What does she mean by that?

"So after the operation, you just rested here and now you should be good to go. Right, Doctor?" Kiyo-Sensei adds.

"Yes. Shiro seems to have recovered fairly quickly, so he should be well enough to attend school. Now if you start feeling sick or a lot of pain, you can come to us, okay?" the doctor replies.

"Sounds good." Shiro exits the hospital bed and follows Liliana and Kiyo-Sensei outside.

"Wait, what time is it?" Shiro asks.

"It's 7:00 a.m., which means we have enough time to make it to class" Kiyo-Sensei replies.

"But aren't we supposed to be evacuating today? The Winged Killers are going to attack tomorrow, right?" Liliana and Kiyo-Sensei both look shocked by what Shiro had just said.

Oh crap, that's what Akito told me. He said the information is classified, so many people don't know about it.

"How do you know about that?" Kiyo-Sensei asks.

"Well, Akito told me..."

"Sensei, is this true?" Liliana asks. Kiyo-Sensei clenches her fists.

"I planned on keeping it a secret so the AAWK could take care of them" Kiyo-Sensei replies.

"But why not inform the citizens..."

"The Winged Killers would sense the trap then!"

"Sensei, why..." Liliana falls to the ground. Shiro stares at Kiyo-Sensei.

"I don't know what's going on, but this town is in danger. We can help everyone survive. Please Sensei" Shiro begs. Kiyo-Sensei looks into his begging eyes, then sighs.

"Alright, I'll go warn them right away. This better not ruin my plans though." Liliana stands up and smiles as Kiyo-Sensei heads to City Hall.

"We'll be fine Lilia..." Shiro feels something strange in his chest. It's similar to what he felt on the day of the killer attack except much stronger.

"Shiro?" Liliana looks at him with concerned eyes.

"I'm...fine. Let's head back" Shiro says, heading back towards his apartment.

"Wait, Shiro, what about school?"

"Forget about school. I'm sure it's cancelled anyways. Look." Shiro points ahead. Liliana stares in awe as a crowd of people head for the train that leads outside the town.

"I see, so we have to prepare as well" Liliana says. Shiro nods. Together, they walk back to their respected apartments, where they notice even more people heading for the trains.

"Take what you need" Shiro tells her. She nods and enters her apartment room while Shiro does the same with his. When he enters, he hears voices coming from the living room. He walks up to the source of the voices: the T.V.
