Seven Swordsman Shiro: New Agee

Episode 5: The First Mission

Shiro awakens the next day to Emi laying right next to him.

Wh-What is Emi doing here!? This is a twin-sized bed, so our bodies are basically overlapping!

Shiro looks at her sleeping face.

She looks troubled. I wonder if that's why she decided to lay in my bed.

Shiro smiles and pets her gently.

I know Emi isn't a bad girl. I'll find a way to get to her.

Emi opens her eyes and looks at Shiro. He smiles at her. Her cheeks turn red.

'What am I doing here again? My body just...wanted comfort last night so it moved on its own. No, I must stay strong. That's what an Angel Corporal is supposed to be: strong' Emi thinks. She then climbs out of Shiro's bed. He looks at her strangely.

"Emi, why did you lay in my bed?" Shiro asks.

"I was just cold" Emi replies coldly as she exits the room.

Wait, where is she going? Oh crap, maybe she's meeting with another Angel!? I should follow her either way.

Shiro creeps out of the room and notices Emi leave through the front door. He silently follows her. She walks into the dark morning and looks to the sky.

'Once I complete the mission, I will return home...And continue to help the Queen' Emi thinks. She continues onward. Shiro follows her. He looks to the sky as he does.

I wonder if Emi is thinking about her home. I'm sure she wants to return...I know I do...

Shiro then bumps into something.

"Uh, sorry." Shiro looks ahead to see Emi staring at him.

"What are you doing here?" she asks.

"Oh, umm, I was just wondering where you were going so early in the morning" Shiro replies.

"I believe it is none of your concern." Shiro looks to the ground.

"Do you miss it?"

"What are you talking about? Do I miss what?"

"Do you miss your home? The world you're from." Emi looks at Shiro in shock.

"So you do know. Shall I initiate combat then?" Shiro stands tall, with his face still facing the ground.

"Don't. I don't want to fight you, Emi." Shiro looks at her. "I'm sure the Angel Army has brainwashed you. Join the AAWK. It'll be best for all worlds."

"You don't understand. I have to do this, so I will kill you right now." A sheath appears at Emi's side. She pulls out her rapier. Shiro then notices that a sheath has appeared at his left side. It's blue with seven golden swords etched into it. Emi's jaw drops.

"Th-That sword! You can't be..."

"I am. Now I will end this peacefully." Shiro removes his eye patch and stares at Emi, sending gruesome images into her head. She screams and drops her sword.

"You...monster..." She closes her eyes and starts to fall to the ground. Shiro rushes over to her and catches her. Both of their swords and sheaths disappear soon after. Shiro puts his eye patch back on.

"It'll be okay, Emi." Shiro picks her up and carries her back inside. He is immediately greeted by Liliana and Kiyo-Sensei.

"Shiro, what happened?" Liliana asks, her eyes full of concern.
