Mags calls for lunch.
Finnick and I leave the train car, while I'm still sobbing.
"What are you crying about sweetheart?" She asks.
"Just a sad memory." Finnick answers for me.
Mags looks unconvinced, so I calm down and tell her.
"When Finnick was nine, our father died." I say strongly.
I take a deep breath, and walk over to the table, and sit next to Mags.
I like her. She's sweet and kind, like Annie, and fun and energetic, like Finnick.
A combination of my favorite people.
I take a few rolls, chicken legs, and drink orange juice.
"What's the light brown stuff, Finnick?" I ask puzzled.
"It's called 'Hot Chocolate'. Its good." He says.
"Especially if you dip your rolls in it." He adds, pointing to my rolls with his fork.
I try it. It's good.
"Thanks for the suggestion, Finnick. It is delicious." I smile.
"So, what's our plan for the games?" Matthias asks.
"Smile and wave." Finnick says.
"And, hold hands." Adds Mags.
"I'm NOT holding hands with him." I say, pointing to Matthias.
" Oh, come on. It'll be fun." Matthias says slyly.
"No. Not even if my life depended on it. Which is ironic, because my life does depend on it." I answer.
"I guess you can knock that off the list, Mags." Finnick laughs.
I smile. Its been since his games that he's smiled, or even laughed.
After two more hours, we are in the Capitol.
With the strangest looking people.
