"Shadowhunters?"
I nodded. "Yes. Your father and I, your Uncle Alec, Aunt Izzy and Uncle Simon, and Grace and Josh are all Shadowhunters."
"Are you high... or... on drugs," asked Emma.
"No," I replied, elbowing Jace in the ribs again when he laughed.
Emma didn't look like she believed me me, "Okay..."
"I know it's hard to believe. But... at least you were told," I said, thinking about the way I had learned about the world of the Shadowhunters.
"Is Uncle Magnus... a... uh.. Shadowhunter too?"Jace laughed softly again, but I didn't hit him this time. "No, he's a Warlock."
"...."
"It'll make a lot more since once we get to Alicante. Trust me, you'll love it," I told her. "Go ahead and pack your stuff, I'll come help you in a few minutes."
"Alright..." Emma stood and walked upstairs."She thinks we're doing drugs," I said with a sigh as I faced my hands.
"If you told me that someone in our family was on drugs, I'd think about Magnus."I would too, I thought.
Then I stood.
"You worry too much." Jace wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me.
"Now's not the time to get all lovey with me Jace."I pulled away from him and went upstairs.
