I hugged Clary.

"Simon," she gasped, "can't... breathe..."
"Sorry," I said, as I quickly let go. "Come in. Magnus and Alec just got here this morning."

I moved out of the way to let Clary in.
Jace stopped in the doorway. "No hug for me," he asked.

Clary turned around and grabbed his shirt and pulled him out of the doorway.
Then, Emma walked in, not even giving me a glance.

"Owe my gosh! Clary! Jace," yelled Izzy as she walked over and hugged Clary, then Jace.
She stopped, and looked at Emma. "My my. Look at you!"

Simon stepped next to Isabelle.

"You look just like Clary..."
"Other than how dark your hair is," added Simon flatly.

Izzy let a huffed sigh, then smiled at Emma.
"You guys take a seat."

Then Isabelle walked into kitchen, and yelled, "Alec! Stop picking through the food and get your butt in here! Clary and Jace are here."
Then she turned and faced the stairs. "Kids! Down here!"
Then she faced where Clary, Jace, and Emma said, and smiled.

Alec was the first to walk into the room.
He nodded, "Hey Jace, Clary."
"Where's Magnus," I asked, just now noticing that the Warlock was no longer sitting on the couch.
Alec shrugged. "He said something about taking a nice walk with his best friend. Then he walked out the back door talking to a bottle of wine."
"By the Angel...," muttered Isabelle. "You better be lucky that I'm not going to make him sleep outside."

I looked at Alec. He spoke like what Magnus had done was completely normal.

He met my eyes, and rolled his. "Yes, Magnus does do that a lot Simon," he said flatly, as if reading my mind.
