TESSA: STARK TOWER
PRESENT DAY

~{}~

I landed in my room with a crash. "Dang, I gotta work on my landing," I muttered to myself. I looked down at my Asgardian clothing illusion. Too cool to get rid of, I thought. With a swipe of my hand, the clothes were made permanent. I glanced at the clock. 4:00 am. Gone for an hour. Not that bad, right? I suddenly remembered the sword and daggers. I made them real too. "Oh, these are way too cool," I exclaimed. I pulled out the daggers.

"Cool indeed," Loki's voice said from the doorway. I gulped and turned to face him. He seemed unusually calm.

"Hey, Loki." I felt my face get really hot. "Uh, so you like the new weapons?"

"Tessa, you went to Svartalfheim. Alone."

"Yeah. And I made these cool clothes too. Did you know I could do that?" I asked, trying to change the conversation.

"You went to the queen."

"How did you -"

"You made an agreement with her," Loki spat.

"It was to save everyone!" I stomped my foot.

"You could die!" He retorted.

"I won't die!"

"You don't know the queen's true power," he said quietly. "Even though she is your mother, you know little."

I groaned. "You can read my thoughts."

"Like a book." He gestured with his hands. "Are you prepared to face her?"

"I think. Could we practice a little more today?" I asked.

"You should get some rest. Teleportation can use a lot of energy." He walked out the door, but paused. "Nice Asgardian clothes, by the way. They suit you well. You could wear them when you visit Asgard after the war."

I smiled. "So you do believe that I'm going to win."

"Have I doubted you yet?" I heard his footsteps echo down the hall. After a while, I could hear several more sets of steps come my way. Everyone walked in.

"Loki told us you had returned." Thor smiled.

"Well, here I am!" I spread my arms. Dad rushed to me and embraced me. "I'm guessing I'm grounded?" He chuckled.

"Maybe later." He looked at my clothes. "Where'd you get this?"

"It's a little something I whipped up myself. I couldn't see the queen in pajamas!"

"You saw the queen?" Steve asked. I nodded.

"She agreed to leave Earth alone after this war."

"A war?" Everyone asked, voices full of worry.

"Yeah, she kinda declared war against the Avengers," I laughed nervously.

"Oh boy," Natasha breathed.

"But we're the Avengers, right? We can stop her if we all -"
