TESSA: STARK TOWER
PRESENT DAY

I dove out of the way and covered my head as a Dark Elf burst through the window. I used my telekinesis to throw him back out, afterwards looking around. Everyone was still recovering from the earthquake. My sword appeared in my hand as three more elves came in the hole that the first one had made. I managed to fight them off with the combination of my powers and my fighting skills. When their bodies were lying on the ground, I wiped the blood rushing down my face. I turned to see everyone wide eyed, looking out the window. "Well, let's suit up and fight," I urged, snapping them out of their trance. They rushed off, all except Dad. "Dad?"

"Come on, kid. You need to suit up."

"Uh, I actually never got around to getting a suit made for me," I pointed out as I stepped over the bodies and broken glass carefully. I didn't have shoes on, after all.

"JARVIS, bring out the new suit," Dad called. I gasped as a red catsuit emerged from the wall.

"This is mine?" I asked, eyeing the suit. He nodded. His eyes lit up like a little kid's on Christmas. His suit attached to him.

"What, you don't like it?" His robotic voice asked. I could hear the mock hurt in his voice.

"No, Dad. I love it!" I squealed. I pulled it off the stand and felt it. "Fireproof, huh?"

"Well, since you're Flame and that junk, I kinda had to," he said in a sassy tone (like usual), blasting the elves that were coming through the window. "Now, go suit up. Let your old man handle these things." He waved me away. I teleported to the bathroom and pulled on the catsuit. I did my hair in a braid and slipped on the red combat boots that were with it. There was a sheath on the sides for my daggers and sword and two pistol holsters that were filled. There was a stitched on flame on my right shoulder and an Avengers symbol on my left. I teleported back out to the living room where the rest of the Avengers were waiting for me along with Loki. I rolled my shoulders and cracked my neck. Still stiff.

Clint handed me a com and I pushed it into my ear. "Is everyone going to get on the jet?" I asked. They nodded.  I turned to Loki as they headed to the jet.  "Loki, should I just end the fight before it starts?" I made my voice low so no one could hear. He raised his eyebrow. I pulled him closer. "You know about the final battle. I know that you do. Should I do it now or what?" I hissed and shoved him away. "I don't want anyone hurt."

"Well, how fun would it be if you didn't get to kill some of the elves?" He smirked.

"You always make a good point." I shake my head as we walked over to the jet. I walked up the ramp with a lot of confidence. I plopped down next to Bucky. "Hey."

It must have surprised him because he jumped. "Oh, hi."

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"This is a first. We didn't have elves that came from the sky back then." I laughed.

"Well, aren't first experiences great?"

He let out a sigh. "I guess."

Steve stood up. "Okay, team, I have a plan. We keep the fight here. Don't let anything go more than 3 blocks out. If it does, kill it or bring it back in so we can deal with it." The jet flew into the air. "Save as many civilians as you can. This is out fight, not theirs. Any questions?"

"Are there any specific places for us to be, Captain?" Thor asked. Steve shook his head.

"Not this time. We fight." The ship lurched. "Widow, what's going on?" He yelled towards the pit.

"We're hit. I'm gonna have to put it down. Hang on tight everyone," she called back. I jumped for the bar on the ceiling, but I was too short. Bucky put his arm around me with a smile.

"Oh, HYDRA didn't teach you how to be tall?" He snorted. I slapped him.

"I guess not," I retorted. I felt us going down fast. Bucky pulled me tighter as we collided with the ground. The jet skidded across the pavement. I tumbled out of Bucky's arms and fell to the floor. When the jet finally stopped, I stood up and brushed myself off. Clint tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. I just melted it with my fire, already done with this whole thing. I stepped out to see hundreds - no, thousands at the most - Dark Elves destroying everything in their paths. I got myself pumped up.

This is what you've been training for.

I turned to my fellow Avengers.

"Who's ready to fight?"

A/N : This is a really short chapter and I'm really sorry.
