"No, never."
Part of my wanted to rush right in with a follow up question, 'Would you like one?' but I held back.
"How come?" I said. "I'm sure you've had opportunities!"
"I don't know," she said thoughtfully. "Timidity. Morality. No-one really caught my interest until..."
Her voice trailed off.
"Until?" I prompted.
My heart was really racing now.
There was a silence.
"Until very recently," she added.
Another silence. I was kind of daring myself to pursue this topic further.
"Can I ask how recently?" I said, twirling a lock of fair hair around my index finger.
"Well the job of a student is to ask as many questions as possible," my teacher said with half a smile.
Her lips looked so very full and kissable.
"And the job of a professor is to answer them!" I shot back.
Another long silence.
"Shall we get back to Julius Caesar!" she said eventually.
My heart sank into my shoes.
How could she do this to me!? My stomach was literally churning with desire by now and my pulse felt like it had gone through the roof. I mean, what exactly was I supposed to do with these damn hormones now?!
I felt embarrassed as well as frustrated. Here I was with my legs literally dangling in front of this woman, and my skirt riding up in front of her. She could not have been in any serious doubt as to the color of my panties, for goodness sake! And maybe the color of my bra too. I was practically offering myself on a plate...
Damn her! She was probably just a frigid old bitch in any case!
I knew I was scowling. I'm pretty much an open book like that. And I was actually shocked by my own reaction. I'm not normally mean or someone for bad language, even bad language inside my own head! I actually feel I should apologize to you, the reader, as well. I guess I
just felt like she'd been leading me up the garden path...
"I probably should get going," I said flatly.
"No, no, don't go!" "What's it to you?"
"Just stay a while. I mean we can talk. You pick a topic. It doesn't have to be Shakespeare."
I hesitated.
"I kind of lost the plot, to be honest," I said eventually. My voice sounded lifeless, a little depressed.
