Lazel• Hazel Messes Up

-------------------

LEO

I see Frank's arm around Hazel. For some reason I can't stop staring at her; all I can think about is Hazel -and Percy and Annabeth. And then, Hazel opens her eyes from her crying and looks directly at me.

She keeps her gaze for a second or two then turns to Frank. Frank, I think sadly. Then I scold myself for thinking like that at all. Frank was a nice guy. I was no person to steal another man's girl, anyway. I don't even know why I have feelings for Hazel. You know, other than the fact that she's beautiful, smart, funny-

I sigh as Jason takes control of the ship, and I head back to the empty stables.

HAZEL

Percy is gone -no, he's not necessarily gone like dead, he's gone like he fell into Tartarus- along with Annabeth.

I've been sitting here, silent, since. Frank's arm is around me, although it's sometimes comforting, I wish I could just tell him that I can't take his touch right now -but I can't. I can't speak. My mouth is dry and my throat feels tightened, and I'm guessing its because slow, silent tears have been coming from my eyes.

I open my eyes and I for some reason have one thought: Leo. I look up at him and catch him staring at me. I want to run into his arms, although I really don't know why because Frank is my boyfriend and his touch isn't even helping.

I turn to Frank, suddenly able to speak. "Frank, I'm going to go to bed. I'm tired," I breathed. I wasn't lying about being tired, but I was lying about going to bed. He nodded and wrapped me in a hug. I then run off, and I see that Leo is no longer controlling the Argo II.

Instead of going to bed, I head for the stables. I lied to Frank because I knew he'd want to come with me, and I just wanted to be alone.

When I got to the stables, I realized I wasn't the only one who had that idea. Leo was sitting down, looking out the window in the floor. I couldn't help but smile at him. His hair was all messed up and he let his sadness show here.

LEO

I was sitting down, looking out the window I had made for Pegasi to go in and out, from the stables. Little did I know at the time that Pegasi actually like to fly free, not be held in stables.

I sigh, then I hear a creaking that could only be wood. I look up at her beautiful face smiling at me. Then she drops her smile and her eyes go wide.

She pushes a strand of stray hair behind her ear and says, "Sorry, looks like we both wanted to be alone. I'll go." She pointed to the exit and started to walk away. I suddenly got frantic, "No! You can stay." I tap the spot on the floor next to me and the corners of her mouth go up.

She clasps her hands together and takes a seat next to me. "Okay," I hear her whisper. I smile. "Hazel," I started. "Shh," she whispered again. "Frank kept trying to talk to me, but I just... I didn't want him to." "Okay," I said. Then she laid into me and I was genuinely shocked, but then I put my arm around her.

That's when I felt her shivering. "Are you cold?" I asked her. She just nodded. I got up, my hand grazing her bare arm, and went to get a wool blanket from the other side of the stables.

I sat back down and she laid back into me. I then wrapped the cover around us both, my arm wrapping back around her in the process. She then started to calm down, and so did I.

"No more talking now?" she asked, looking up at me. I nodded in reply. She then laid her head back on my shoulder, pushing me down in a time of weakness.
