PIPER

Piper lied in bed awake. Everything was a steady quiet even though you could hear the sound of her crew members thinking and Leo and Hazel talking with Coach Hedge on deck.

That's when she decided to go see Frank. Even though they were in their own rooms, ten feet apart at most, it felt like she was getting farther from him the more time she thought about what he said. And when she thought about Percy and Annabeth and Gaea, she knew that she had to tell him her true feelings.

She knocked on his door and stood there until he opened the door. He was in pajamas, so she couldn't help but laugh, but she soon stopped as his eyes widened -now fully awake- when he saw Piper.

"Piper. Come in."

Piper walked in slowly and turned around to Frank shutting the door. "I'm sorry I woke you up."

"You didn't. I couldn't sleep," Frank says back.

"Well, I just thought If tell you how I feel about this."

Frank nodded and sat on the bed next to where Piper had just sat. "Frank, I'm not ready to be in love with you. I love you, Frank, but I don't know if I'm in love. There is a difference. But I want to give us a try. I want to fall in love again. But you have to know I still love Jason."

Frank nods, "I know you are, and I know there is a difference."

Before Piper can say something back, Frank's lips were on hers. Taken by surprise, her eyes widen in shock, but just as soon close as she kisses him back.
