"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for making time in your busy schedules to visit our little auction."

Rinig kong wika malapit sakin. Inisiip na palabas lamang iyon sa tv. Nagmulat ang aking mga mata, and blinked at the lights that's blinding me.

"We've prepared this item that are sure to delight each and everyone of you..."

Pagpapatuloy nito. I heard bustling around me but i chose to ignore it. I sat up, groggily. Nanghihina ako, feeling ko mauubusan ako ng lakas.

"..She's Amethyst Rei, a virgin young lady.."

I smiled faintly, it was my name and the line is just too familiar, nababasa ko iyon sa mga nobelang nabibili at iniipon ko.

"Take a good look, she has an impressive eyes, hasn't she? Just like her name."

Nakarinig na naman ako ng bulungan, kinusot ko ang aking mga mata ngunit natigil iyon ng makita kong nakaposas ang dalawang kamay ko, at ang tangi ko lamang kasuotan ay isang napaiksing nightgown. I lifted my head sharply. Nasa isa akong hawla. Ang pagkahilo at ang antok ay nawala sa sistema ko.

Nanlalaki ang mga matang Pinagmasdan ko ang aking paligid. Women who wore gowns and men in tuxedos were everywhere. Di lang basta bastang mga tao, base sa kasuotan nila alam kong may sabi sila sa buhay. But I don't know them, and I can't even see their faces, cause every single one of them wore a mask, a mask that use to a party ball.

Kinabahan ako, a chill went down my spine. I swallowed the imaginary lump in my throat that made me want to vomit.

Anong ginagawa ko dito? Bakit ako napunta dito?

Ang tanging naalala ko lamang ay ang paguwi ko galing sa trabaho, and then someone covered my mouth and nose with a handkerchief, after that everything went blur.

At Auction? Ako ba ang ibebenta?

Nanlaki ang aking mga mata, litong lito. "A-Anong ibig sabihin nito." Tanong ko ngunit hindi nila ako pinansin.

"She's not just beautiful, she's brilliant too! She can be a secretary and a mistress at the same time!" Pagpapatuloy ng lalaki na nasa aking gilid, na sinundan pa ng halakhak sa mikroponong hawak. He was wearing a black tuxedo and a mask that covered half of his face.

What?! Secretary and mistress?!

"Anong sinasabi mo?!" Binalewala niya ang sinabi ko at pinukpok ang mallet na hawak upang magumpisa na ang bidding.

"Fifty thousand!"

"Eighty thousand!"

"One hundred thousand!"

"One hundred fifty thousand!"

"Two hundred thousand!"

Tuloy tuloy ang bidding. Tuloy tuloy ang pagbanggit ng mga pera. Pataasan. Walang nagpapatalo.

"Stop! Stop! Please! Let me out!" I nearly choked on my sobs as I fought to contain them. Pilit kong inaalis ang pagkaposas ng mga kamay, but it's futile.
