The days passed by quickly, seeming to blur together into one. Wednesday suddenly morphed to Friday, as if with a snap. Early Saturday evening, as Jack was listening to Green Day, one of his favorite bands, he felt his cell buzz in his back pocket. He fished it out as Billie Joe began singing about having the time of your life.

"jack we still on for tonight?"

That god damned fool. Of course Jack wanted to go to that god damn party with him. He wanted to see his god damn perfect face and his god damn perfect body and his god damn perfect smile. Jack lusted to see every god damn perfect part of him.

"God dammit," Jack muttered.

"yea where shuld we meet up" Jack typed as quickly as possible, his fingers aching to brush against Alex once more.

Less than a second later, Alex replied back with, "ill be at ur room in 20 mins"

This sent Jack into a panic, knowing Alex would be here soon. He wasn't nearly ready, his hair a mess, his outfit uncoordinated. Every single inch of his body was not good enough, not good enough to be around Alex, who was one of the finer creatures in this dastardly world. Jack scrambled to pull together an outfit, ripping his filthy t-shirt off of his body and pulling on a fresh one with the Blink-182 logo on the front. He struggled into his skinny jeans, making sure he zipped up his fly so that he didn't have any embarrassing encounters. The cologne Jack thought he never would have used was finally sprayed, just so Jack could smell somewhat nice. Gum was crammed in to his mouth to make up for not brushing his teeth that morning. There was only one more problem: his hair. It stuck out at odd angles, the dark, tangled mess boasting a full nights sleep. Immediately, Jack began brushing his hair wildly, hoping to tame the beast that lived on his scalp.

Just as he was finishing up, there was a small knock on his door before it was pushed open. There Alex stood, looking absolutely perfect (what else is new) in a simple white v-neck and dark blue jeans. On his head he wore a tan beanie, some of his deep brown hair poking out of the edges.

"I like your shirt, man. Love Blink."

"Thanks" was all Jack could muster.

"Ready?"

Jack nodded tersely and took one last glance at his hair. He slipped his cell back into his pocket and followed Alex out the door. They ended up in the parking lot in front of a dark blue Toyota.

"Never would've expected this to be your car," Jack said while smirking.

"Are you fucking kidding? This thing is my baby. My parents got it for me as soon as I could drive and I've been in love since. Plus she gets 30 miles to the gallon."

"Fuck yeah!" Jack yelled sarcastically.

Alex laughed and got into the driver's seat. Jack got in the car, not surprised to find old fast food bags crammed in the back of Alex's car, under the seats. The air smelled slightly of French fries, not that it bothered Jack.

The engine fired up and Alex rubbed the dashboard, very satisfied.

"Listen to her. She's perfect."

Jack laughed as Alex blared Blink-182 through the speakers. Alex dramatically sang along while doing insane dance moves. Multiple times, Jack thought they might crash.

"So where's this party?"

"Oh it's somewhere in Baltimore, I'm not really sure where though."

"I grew up in Baltimore, do you mind if I see the address?"

Alex handed him a slip of paper that had writing scribbled on it in tiny letters. After many attempts to read it, Jack finally deciphered the scratchy writing. He hoped to god he was wrong as soon as he realized. Because if he wasn't wrong, they were headed to Greg's house.
