Levi POV
I actually had a pretty decent feeling about our first game against H2K. We trained hard and we were all confident that this isn't going to be a totally chaotic game. Our resolution was to sustain. We wanted to have a good game, even though it might be a loss.
We all picked champs we felt confident with. It was our very first game. And it was against H2K. So we didn't expect too much.
Lanya wanted us to pick strong champs, but also champs we like. So we saw it as a warm-up game.
"Before the game now starts, I want everybody of you to go into themselves and think about what you want to achieve this game. Good communiation, good teamfights, good objective control. I want all of you to be positive and try to hold on as long as possible. Whatever happens, don't tilt. This is our first game and this game is not important at all. The first week is always an experiment week for every team. So, my boys and girls. I love you all. Good luck", Lanya said and walked off the stage.
She found really kind words for us and we all started the game really positive.
Early game was pretty good for me. Toplane was just a farming game, but I felt good with my Fiora pick. Odoamne on Malphite was a really good pick, but we didn't really fight. We hardly traded with each other. So, there wasn't a lot of action in my lane, which I was quite happy about it.
I really wanted to get more items before we started grouping and I was happy that I could get so much farm for almost free.
After 15 minutes, we already traded a lot of towers and after H2K got their first drake, the first teamfight broke out. We managed to kill two of them and even get the Midlane tier 2 tower. So it was kinda worth for us. And it was also an ego-boost. We tried not to freak out over this achievement. But every good step was really encouraging.
But Forgiven got somehow incredibly fed and farmed like there was no tomorrow. He was our biggest problem. He probably was the biggest problem of all teams.
Although, we managed to sustain until late game, now everything was possible again. The towers were even, but H2K got more drakes. Nearly everybody was full built, but one bad teamfight ruined us everything. The death timers were too long and H2K could close out the game easily.
But I wasn't sad. I was actually really happy with our performance. The game lasted for nearly 50 minutes, so we kept on going and didn't let H2K finish easily. I was proud of my team. And I was proud of myself.
After we shook H2K's hands, we formed to a group hug.
"I'm still happy about this game", Kilian smiled: "I think we did good."
Vic nodded, but still looked really disappointed. Well, of course everybody was a bit sad. It was our first LCS game and we wanted to show everybody how good we are. That we can keep up with the best teams. And I think we kinda showed that we actually could have won that game.
We got back to our room and Lanya didn't seem sad at all. Au contraire, she was smiling at us.
"I think you all did a really good job there", she said: "You had some good teamfights and good calls. I could see that your communication was good at the beginning. Maybe in the last teamfight, not everybody was concentrated, but I'm happy with the outcome. It's just one game. So, don't think too much about it now. Tomorrow we have another game and we learned a lot about ourselves today. That's all that counts. We will talk more about that tomorrow before our game starts."
"I think so too", Freyja smiled: "We just came straight out of the Challenger Series and now we nearly beat H2K."
"Mhm", our coach nodded: "See, it's not that bad that we lost. It's okay. And now let's go home and relax."
When we arrived in our gaming house, Kilian and I decided to play a few ranked games together with Hiêu from NonPopular. We already got on well with him and it was fun to play dynamic queue with other teams. Also, we all shared the same humor. So it was funnier for us.
Seika POV
I sat down in front of my computer and sighed heavily. I still was a bit sad about that game. I just wanted to win our first game, but I knew that H2K was too strong for us. So, I didn't know why I was so disappointed about it. We did really play it so good, but it just wasn't enough.
I went online in League and wasn't so sure if I wanted to play a game. I actually just wanted to go to sleep, but then I got invited by Soaz. I almost immediately pressed on accept. My heart started beating faster for no reason. What was going on there?
Sadly we weren't alone. We were in a team with Freyja, Peke and Mithy.
Well, why sadly? We were just friends, so why did it bother me then?
