Week 4, Thursday
Vic POV
"What did just happen?", I heard Kilian's shocked voice behind me. Immediately I turned around, but only saw a bunch of backs in front of me.
"Kasing is throwing everything! What the fuuuck", Febiven put his hands in front of his face.
I raised an eyebrow and tried to get some vision onto the stream. Rekkles noticed me and took one step to the side: "Oh sorry. Do you see now?"
I smiled: "Yes, thanks."
Now I could finally look at the screen and watch Elements vs Vitality. The score was 12 - 15 for Vitality, but Elements just Ace'd them and got Baron. So, I guess that the score just turned around heavily in favor for Elements.
"What happened?", I looked at Rekkles.
"I can't even explain it to be honest", he shook his head: "Elements tried Nashor, which was actually pretty dumb and the teamfight should have been so easy for Vitality, but Kasing randomly flashed into the Baron pit and ... died and everybody ... followed?"
"W-what? Why did he do that?", I looked back to the stream and the game changed drastically.
After 10 minutes the game was over and Elements won with a big upset. What a comeback.
"Only cause of Kasing", Kilian sighed.
"I wouldn't say only, but this one mistake changed the whole game", Levi said.
I shook my head and turned to Rekkles.
"So, now it's our turn, isn't it?", Rekkles smiled at me.
I just nodded, cause I was way too nervous to say anything more. I just wanted the game to finally start and then be over as soon as possible again. We trained really hard for the game against Fnatic, but we weren't too sure if we could actually do something there. They looked so strong this Split.
"Good luck", he patted me on the shoulder and went away.
"Thank you", I murmured, but didn't think that he heard me.
At least we were blue side, so we were more confident in that way. We sat down and logged into Teamspeak.
The pick and ban phase wasn't too bad. We thought everything a 100 times through and everybody got a comfort pick. Lanya was really motivating and tried to give us a positive mentality: "So, now we are facing the strongest team in Europe, but everybody has their weaknesses, so I want you all to play a good vision game. Seika, you tell everybody where you want the vision. And Vic, I want you to shot call during teamfights as usual. Always listen to her, okay? Good luck."
The game ended after long 53 minutes. We all just looked into our screens and didn't realize what happened. In hindsight, it was just a complete random game, but while playing it, it didn't feel so chaotic as it may have looked.
I turned my head to Levi, who just stood up and opened his arms to signalize me to stand up too. I laughed, took off the headphones and fell into his arms. We all formed into a group hug and couldn't stop laughing.
Next thing I know, Gamsu stoods in front of me, shaking my hand. Then Spirit, then Febiven. Then Rekkles. He gave me a warming, but also devastating smile, and hugged me. Then I shook Noxiak's hand and we all went backstage.
Lanya couldn't stop smiling either. We all couldn't believe that we just won against Fnatic.
Lauren POV
When Febiven finally showed up in our doorway, I immediately stood up and went to him. He didn't look sad or something like that, but he wasn't happy either.
"Can we go outside?", he asked me after we kissed.
I nodded, since we played the last game and still had some time.
While we were wandering around hand-in-hand, nobody said a word for some time.
Febiven sighed out heavily, but still remained silent.
"Lewis seemed unfocused", I said to break our silence: "Or am I wrong?"
"His family has some problems at the moment", Febiven twisted his mouth: "He didn't really talk about it, but somebody from his family lays in hospital."
"Oh fuck", I murmured.
"Mhm."
"It's just one lose, Lewis will catch himself."
"I hope so", Febiven seemed really worried on one side, but on the other, he also thought about the standings: "We can't afford another lose though."
"I know", I said: "But you are facing Roccat tomorrow. It will be alright."
Febiven just shrugged.
Then we remained silent for another few minutes.
"How is Mary?"
"I really don't know. After she had this talk with Kasing on Sunday, she was really relieved, but since Monday it kinda got worse and worse with every day", I sighed.
"But are they now together or not?"
"They are still together, but I don't know. Look at Kasing's performance from today. He was super tilted."
Febiven pressed my hand softly: "Do you think they will make it?"
"If Kasing keeps on acting like that, nope. But I hope that he will get it and finally stop acting so over jealous", I sighed and looked at my phone: "We should go back. Jeff just wrote that the game between Origen and G2 won't be too long from the score now and Heinz wants to talk before the 4th game starts and stuff."
"Okay", Febiven nodded and we made our way back to the Studios again.
When we reached my room, we kissed for a long time, cause we won't be seeing us until tomorrow.
"Why can't you stay", I hugged my boyfriend really tight and sighed: "I want to take you home with me."
"I know, I would love that too. But after that game, Deilor won't let us do anything than thinking about League until tomorrow. But you will do fine against H2K. I'm gonna watch it."
"Let's see", I murmured into his chest: "Gonna be a hard one, I guess."
Febiven gave me a kiss on my hair and then we let go of each other.
"And how is it to live with Godgiven?", I joked with Oliver.
I was so happy to finally get the chance to talk to him again. I really missed him sometimes, since I didn't see him anymore every weekend at the Fnatic gaming house.
"It's alright. He's actually a really funny guy", he laughed: "But Vander and Jankos have the best banter."
"Typical polish boys", I smiled: "And what do you think about the Fnatic game?"
Oliver shook his head: "I knew that they couldn't go 18-0 again. Not with this line-up. They are good, yes, but they are too inconsistent. They are just lucky that the other teams aren't on the same level. But we are 5-1. So if we win this game, we are tied with them."
"Yeah, if", I grinned: "First you have to beat us."
"We will see, we will see", he pointed at me and laughed.
"Remember when we were so afraid of Godgiven?", Hiêu laughed as we all entered the Teamspeak channel.
"We were afraid of everybody basically", Jeff said: "We really thought that we would went 0-18 and drop out off the LCS again, so please."
We all started laughing. I even heard Mary a bit. We just tried to distract her as much as possible, so she doesn't get unfocused.
"0-18 the dream?", Hiêu laughed.
"Not possible anymore. Not even for Elements!", Zhen joked around: "Noob Vitality."
I wanted to stop him, but before I could even say a word, he finished his sentence. Why did Zhen start talking about Vitality now? Now right before our game started.
I only heard Mary sighing and knew that she thought about Kasing again. But luckily the pick and ban phase started and she needed to concentrate on something different anyway now.
"I want good shotcalling as always. Always communicate and make sure where Jankos is. I want good objective control and vision. But I want you to keep the focus on the teamfights for this game. H2K always tries to snowball from the early and mid game on. They will try to fight you soon as they can, so always be aware of that and place good defensive wards. And if 4 people say, we do dragon, but one person is unsure about that, don't do dragon! Make sure everything is safe and clear and then do the objective, alright? And now good luck and see you after the game", Heinz said and then walked off the stage.
I felt a little bit like in the very first game we had against H2K, but I also didn't want to think about that one, cause we won back then and I didn't want to be too sure about this win today.
"Sivir! Sivir!", I heard Hiêu shouting: "Sivi- Arrgh, no. Don't-! Mary!"
I looked at my white and black screen and tried to help my teammates in this last teamfight. I did everything I could, but ended up dying as well as Mary and Jankos. It was a 4 vs 3 now, in favor of H2K.
"Braum comes from the side", I pinged them and tried as much as I could with just my ability to now look over the map without concentrating on my champion.
But we lost that teamfight anyway and with that one, we also lost the game.
We went to H2K and shook their hands and then backstage.
I gave Oliver a hug and just sighed.
"Was a long and good game", he tried to cheer me up: "You did really great. But I don't know why some players are so unfocused today. In game one, Kasing was completely useless. Then the thing with Noxiak, then Hybrid and now Mary? Did I miss something?"
"Was that really so obvious?", I was actually really shocked that everybody could see that these three people heavily under-performed today. The only thing I didn't know, was, what was up with Hybrid.
Oliver nodded: "Relationship problems?"
"Yes", I sighed: "Long story."
"Oh. That's not good. Hopefully you can all sort that out, cause it obviously effects both of the teamvsreally heavily."
"I know, I just hope that it will be alright as soon as possible."
On our way home, we didn't speak about the game. Heinz wanted to give us some time to think about everything alone and then talk about it tomorrow in the morning.
We didn't play super bad, but it was just a random chaos that wasn't necessary at all. But it also wasn't only Mary's fault, I also kinda concentrated on something else. Maybe I was so drawn with all these drama going on that I forgot to focus on myself.
I could just hope that Mary and Kasing will make up and Noxiak's family will be alright as soon as possible.
