[C A L U M]

The tanned boy was talking on the phone with Hazel, well, she was talking non-stop actually. Hazel wanted Calum to have dinner with her family and when Hazel said family she meant it because it wasn't just her parents, it included aunts, cousins, grandparents, etc.
He swore her family spent their whole lives having fancy dinners.
Hazel's family was loaded and it was a little embarrassing for Calum because he dropped out of college almost a year ago so he was living off that money and her girlfriend's parents still didn't know about that.
Lana was still trying to convince him to get into college again, saying that college founds don't last forever.

"Bab-" Calum was interrupted again.

"Oh and Calum, baby..." The boy cringed at the words, it bothered him. "Everyone will go all crazy, y'know. I'm like the only one in the family that has lasted the most in a relationship." She let out a high pitched squeak and Calum sighed. his teeth dug into his bottom lip.
His life was a total mess.

"Hazel...Hazel!" He yelled making her stop babbling. "If you could tell me when, it'd be pretty nice." He tried to laugh. Yeah, right. He heard the girl murmuring.

"I'm coming to your house, love." Hazel said happily. "I have to ask my parents the name of the restaurant still, so I'll tell you later.
You're not doing anything, aren't you?" Calum shook his head which was dumb because she couldn't see him.
He heard a knock on the door and when to open it, Hazel still on the phone.

"There you are, dear Calum." Michael spoke not even before the boy could realize who was knocking.

"Calum." Hazel dragged the words in the other line. "Oh, um, not i don't have anything to do." He said turning around and letting his mates go inside. "Great, I'll see you later. I love you"

"Ok, love you too." He spoke slowly as if he was trying to let the phrase sink in.
Calum hung up and went straight to the kitchen ignoring the boys.
He leant against the counter and rubbed his face.

"Was that Hazel?" Calum snapped his head up to look at Luke and Michael in front of him.

"Yeah, she's coming over later." He mumbled flatly.

"Woah, your excitement is making me blind." Luke mocked. "Bet if it was Lana you'd be jumping in one foot." The blonde boy teased.

"What are you talking about?" Calum started fidgeting with his fingers and staring fixedly at his feet. They boys acted normal around Lana and he was thankful for that. He wouldn't have known how to handle the situation if they had asked in the moment because they certainly didn't believe the whole i was drunk act.

"Your shoes are not that interesting, y'know." Michael seemed to be very amused by the situation. He thought Lana was funny and pretty but still didn't think that cheating was okay.
They were not dumb and they knew Calum like he was their own brother.

"What are you guys doing here though?" Calum finally asked.

"We just felt like talking." Michael shrugged and sat on the counter next to him. " And maybe ask for Lana's number, she was pretty chill."
Calum's jaw clenched and he bit the side of his mouth.

"She wouldn't date you." He said sternly.

" I know, so you now are allowed to cut the crap and tell us that you're dating two girls at the same time."

" I'm not..." Calum trailed the words. He couldn't lie because he got caught in the act, pretty much.
" Lana and I are not dating" Calum said looking at the ceiling. In fact they weren't dating. Not officially at least. They can't do that.

"Is she your fuck buddy then?" Michael asked. Calum glared at him.

"Sometimes I wonder if you ever use your brain." Luke spoke and grabbed a few beers from the fridge and gave each boy one.
" Does this girl even know about Hazel?"

"Yeah, she knows." Michael gave him a look of disbelief.
"This is some soap opera shit." Luke slapped him in the arm.
"What the hell?"

"Can you please be useful." Luke argued and Michael rolled his eyes and took a sip of his beer.

"I am useful, breadstick"

"Jesus fūcking Christ." Luke glared at Michael. " Back to Calum's issue. Please, let me express this. Why the fuck are you cheating on your girlfriend and who in their right mind goes out with a boy knowing he's taken?"

Michael was quite impressed by Luke's outburst and so was Calum.
Luke was annoyed because he had been cheated on and doesn't like the feeling so he wasn't really proud of his friend.
While Michael was trying to not make his friend feel like shīt, at least not completely and preferred Lana even though he just met her once.

Calum took a long sip of his beer and placed the bottle aside before speaking.
"She didn't know at first and before you ask she never questioned why I never asked her to be together and um I don't even know what got into me when I gave her my number. It just happened...She texted me thanking me for this vinyl I bought her and we kind of bonded pretty fast, it all went from there." His friends listened to him in silence without putting too much pressure. Calum would not say a word when he was upset and frustrated so they just let him talk. "She found out eventually and she thought I was cheating on her and it was just so messed up, guys. Weeks later I may or may not had appear in front of her door a bit drunk." He stopped and exhaled a big breath. "I just...couldn't resist it, I need to be with her. She's just so different from Hazel, so spontaneous, smart, really hardworking and let's not forget she's so damn stunning...I just fūcking wish I had met her before."
Michael and Luke shared a few glances. His friend was completely whipped for a girl that wasn't his girlfriend.
