The girl dragged him into to the nearest store as soon as they got into the mall.
Hazel said she needed a dress for the dinner.

"It'd be at Didiore's, babe." Her voice was muffled by the tons of dress in front of her. Calum looked up from his phone when he heard the name of the restaurant. "My parents said it's a really classy and nice place."

"So I've heard."  They both had their hands intertwined, Calum's mind was like a hurricane, tons of ideas and feelings hitting at once.
He did feel guilty when he was with Hazel, so did he when he was with Lana but, ten times worse because it was the girl he truly cared about.

"What do you think about this one?" She picked up a maroon long dress, with straps forming an x in the back.
Calum chuckled and stood next to the girl.

"It's nice." He shrugged. Hazel raised an eyebrow. The boy's nonchalant attitude was staring to feed her up. He was spacing out half the time he spend with her and act so uninterested at times. She just sighed and blinked a few times.

"Nice?" She pouted. "Babe, I know nothing about dresses. I like the color though. Go and try it on." He said as cheerfully as he could. She kissed his cheek and went to the changing room with three more dresses hanging on her arm.
Calum looked around the shop, just trying to distract himself for a bit, until
his eyes stopped in dress of a dark shade of purple. The sleeves reached the elbows and it was a mid-thighed length.
He approached it and scanned it. The cleavage had the shape of triangle upside down and it was made of gauze. He took it in his hands and a little smile made its way to his face.

"Hello, May I help you?" The salesgirl that got next to him asked politely. He smiled and nodded.
"I'm taking it." He told her the size and asked if he could pick it up later.
"Sure, you can retire it until 8." The girl explained and walked off to the front desk. Hoping he would follow. He was so focused in the dress that he forgot about Hazel, just for a bit.
"Yeah, I'll go in a minute." Calum ran to the changing room and saw Hazel standing confused.

"Sorry, I got distracted and you take too long." He mocked her. She rolled her eyes and then spun in her place.
Calum scanned her every move, Hazel was beautiful. There was no doubt, but that wasn't enough, her personality started to be a little of a turn off for Calum, he started to notice how into looks, appearances and money she was. It was normal though, Hazel was raised surrounded with commodities and material stuff.
"Dork, What you think? I tried the rest before, but they are awful and just looked plain cheap.." She dragged the words while rolling her eyes and waited for Calum's response.

"You look amazing in it." He gave her a toothy grin, ignoring her remark. "Get this one." Hazel pecked his lips and went back to the changing rooms.
Calum sighed, he couldn't help but compare Hazel to Lana, both were so different. He now wonders what made him get with Hazel. Lana was so simple-hearted, she always tried to earn her own things, she would always try to never make someone feel bad, but she would stick for herself, you couldn't easily put her down.
Calum walked to the front desk and asked for the salesgirl from before, he paid for the dress rapidly so he wouldn't get caught by his girlfriend and told the girl to put it in a gift box.
"I'll be here in an hour or so to pick it up, thank you." He turned around and found Hazel walking towards him with the dress in hand. "Don't say anything, please." He pleaded and the girl confused just nodded.

"Hi, I'm taking this one, please, oh, and make sure it's not creased or anything when you put it in the bag, honey." Hazel said whilst motioning her hand in a disinterested way.
At least she said please. Calum thought and gave the girl an apologetic smile for Hazel's preppy attitude.

Both exited the shop, Calum grabbing the bag and Hazel had her arm  enchained in his own.
"Are you taking anything?" Hazel asked picking at her nails.
"Uh, nope. Why'd you ask?" Calum motioned to the food court with a pout.
"I mean for the dinner, maybe a new tuxedo, y'know." Calum narrowed his mouth and shook his head. "I'm good, Hazel."
"Okay then, you sure you wanna eat now?" Hazel asked laughing. "You literally ate before we left."  Calum looked at her and grimaced. "Fine, let's get something."

Calum was taking a spoon of his mint ice cream when Hazel got closer to him and leaned against his shoulder.
"Let's go to my place." She purred into his ear and placed a hand on his thigh.
Calum froze in the spot, it took him by surprise.
"Mm, baby, actually I need to-..." Hazel placed her lips on his and bit his bottom lip after. "Hazel, really."
"Please, baby, stop leaving me alone."
Calum sighed and kissed the top of her head.
Who the hell will pick up the dress now? He tried to think of something to get rid of his girlfriend at least for five minutes, but she was hanging onto his arm and innocently humming.
His eyes scanned his ice cream, suddenly not feeling the urge to eat it.
His chin was on the palm of his hand, Calum was slightly panicking before he grabbed his phone and patted his girlfriend's arm.
"Hey, babe. I'll be right back." Hazel frowned a little. "I swear. I'm staying with you today." She grinned and pecked his lips.

He stood up and walked away just until he was out of the girl's sight.
Calum pressed the call button and hope his friend picked up fast but he actually had to call three more times until someone answered.
"Pick up, pick up, pick up, goddamn-"
"What the hell? Calum, geez." Michael finally picked up, a little confused as to why was he calling him so repeatedly.
"What's got you so urged?" He laughed. Calum moved his feet nervously.
"I need a favor, please." He begged and his friend chuckled.
"Anything for the damsel in distress." Michael responded in a playful tone.
"I'm with Hazel right now and she wants me to go to her place and I need to pick up this dress and I couldn't get rid of her so yeah. Could you please pick it up? it's really important." The tanned boy spoke really fast.
"Easy there, mate. Is it for her? as in a surprise or something? you sound a little stressed " Michael asked a bit confused. The other boy scratched the back of his neck looking in every direction of the food court.
"Not exactly, but it is technically a gift." Calum spoke dragging the words. Michael mumbled under his breath.
"I get it, it's for my future girlfriend." He joked but Calum hissed. "Anyways, yeah i can do that." He sighed and changing his mood and feeling bad for his friend. "Don't get use to it, though. This won't be forever." He warned.
"I know, damn. Thank you, Mikey." He breath out. "It's in the mall though and you have to be here in like half an hour." Calum remembered an important detail. "Shīt, oh. Michael can you like explain to her that I send you? you kind of need the bill and such but I'll go to the store and make sure she knows you'll go."

"You're a fucking genius." Michael spoke sarcastically. " I'm on my way and you owe me. Buy me pizza for a week or  something." Michael chuckled and hung up.

Calum smiled to himself and after running to get to the floor where the store was, explaining that his friend with crazy ass hair was going to retire the dress and inventing an excuse to Hazel for taking so much time he could breath in relieve.
