[L A N A ]

She stared at the girl in the mirror, the uniform fitting her perfectly and her incredibly neat make up.
Lana exhaled trying to liberate the stress of the evening and walked out of the employes restroom.
Everyone was running around making everything look perfect and waiting for the people to arrive. She caught Ashton fixing his white shirt repeatedly and made her way towards him.

"Stop, you'll make it look creased." She said with a smile.
"Yeah, I'm just making sure everything's fine for the boss, if anything goes wrong he will probably fire everyone and work by himself." Both laughed silently at the comment.
"I wanna go home and probably cuddle my dog." Lana mumbles, scanning the place with bored eyes. Ashton rolls his eyes.
"Poor thing, he might feel suffocated by your needy attitude." Lana fake gasps.
"You're hurting my feelings, Ash, he indeed needs my love." The girl looks at him disapprovingly and turns around.
The boy with hazel eyes shook his head and follows Lana, wrapping her shoulders.
"I know, I know."

Both enter the kitchen and walked over glasses filled with bubbly champagne placed on several trays.
"I'm praying for you, Lana. I don't want you dropping none of this fragile tableware." Ashton raised his pinky in the air and slightly closing his eyes.
"Didn't know you had tableware in your vocabulary." Lana mocked him.

"Okay, everyone. They're all arriving so start bringing the cocktail, I want everything to turn out impeccable." Lana watched her boss fix his suit, flawlessly ironed with airs of greatness.

"Let's go." Ashton puts a white fabric over his arm and grabs a stray. Lana mimics his actions but with more care.
They follow behind a group that walks out of the kitchen, surprisingly coordinated.
The restaurant wasn't completely packed but there were lots of people anyways.
All of them with elegant outfits, gesturing with grace while chatting.
"Good evening, May I offer you something, ma'am?" Ashton asked a lady that happened to be beside him. He grinned and saluted the women around her.
She smiled politely and grabbed a glass of champagne. "thank you, dear." Ashton grins and nod, offering a few more glasses.

"You're quite the charmer, aren't you?." Lana whispers to her friend.

"What can I say, my mama taught me well." Lana laughed and pushed him slightly with her hip.

Lana offered some champagne to people here and there and still couldn't find the family hosting the dinner.
She and Ashton never leaving each other's side. They walk over two boys showing them their back but seemed to be alone and a little separated from the rest.

"Would you like to have som-" She stopped her mouth when the two boys revealed their faces. "what."

"No fūcking way." The boy with black hair and blue strands of hair spoke rather surprised. "Lana." Michael showed a toothy smile.

"Uh, hi, Michael" Lana said confused. Ashton looked down at her and frowned.  "You know them?" He bent down a little and asked close to her ear. She gave him a quick nod.

"So you work here?" The blonde boy entered the conversation.

"No, man, she volunteers here." Michael said with clear sarcasm, causing Ashton to giggle and tried to pressed his lips in a thin line.
Luke just raised an eyebrow at the curly haired boy.

"Please grab something, so I look like I'm not just socializing." Lana asked looking back a little. Michael and Luke grabbed a glass each one.

"So are you guys related to the family or...?" Lana couldn't help but still feel a little awkward around them, even though, they were really nice.

"Luckily, we aren't. We were invited actually." Michael spoke, taking a sip of his champagne. "Woah, this is good." he mumbled.

"Here, have another one. I wanna finish this." Ashton handed him another glass of champagne and Michael accepted it gladly.

"I already like you, man."

"Who invited you guys? I thought you were more into noodles and beer." Lana snorted and Ashton chuckled a little too loud.

"Looks like you're warming up to us." Luke smirked at her. Lana smiled at him and changed her tray from one hand to another.

"Yeah, yeah. I need to go back to serve this people of yours." Lana said jokingly.

Michael and Luke shared looks.
"They're not exactly our people." Michael mumbled and their mood changes quickly. Ashton notices this and get a little closer.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"A friend of us, invited us, a really close friend." Luke hints at Lana.
She raised an eyebrow, not understanding what were they saying.
"Uh, okay. I guess I'll se you around-"
"No wait, Lana. I have...a question, yeah." Michael suddenly asked and elbowed Luke. The black haired boy looked behind Ashton and Lana, Luke followed his gaze.
The curly haired boy turn his head around and see something that made his eyes flew open.

"Okay, tell me." Lana looks fixedly at Michael with one hand on her waist and the other still carrying the tray.

"What's the name of the champagne?" Lana rolled her eyes and laughed shortly.

"We'll go ask, now, excuse us." Ashton pushed the bottom of her back. Luke nodded at him and tried to walk away with Michael, but  their tanned best friend finally saw them.
Lana fought Ashton and looked at him strangely.

"What's wrong with you?" Lana turned around but her feet got pasted to the floor.
The same girl from the family hosting the dinner was holding hands with Calum and talking with Luke and Michael, who was looking at her out of the corner of his eye.
Lana felt her breath hitch and her body went cold. The world was small, more than she would have liked.
Her heart started beating faster and she didn't know how to feel. Embarrassment, jealousy, anger...
everything was mixed and hitting her all at once.

Her feet started dragging her towards them and it was almost like she didn't control them. Ashton called her but she acted deaf. Lana was suddenly determined to confront him, because a feeling of new found confidence was rushing through her veins.
Luke looked at her with big eyes.

"Good evening, Would you like something to drink?" Lana asked in her most polite tone and with the most cynical smile.

Calum's mouth opened slightly and his eyes went wide open.
