Calum gave Hazel the news and she was extremely surprised, she would never though he'd go back. On the other hand, she felt like she was being left out, not knowing a little bit about his boyfriend's plans really bothered her."You can't be serious." Calum paced around her room.
"I'm being 100% serious. You never tell me anything anymore." Hazel placed a hand on her hip and ran her free hand through her light brown hair.
"Can't you just be happy for me? I thought you'd be glad I made this decision." He said annoyed.
"Babe, I'm truly happy, it's the best choice you've taken." Hazel walked over to him and fisted his T-shirt in her hands, pulling him close. "Congratulations."
"Thank you, baby." He kissed her cheek.
"So my boyfriend is going to be a hot nurse." Hazel joked with an eyebrow raised.
"Don't even start." He pointed a finger at her and grabbed her waist with one arm. "Being an anesthetist nurse it's not an easy task, plus it has a growing field."
"Uhm so professional." Hazel bit her lip.
"Why am I even with you?"
"Because I'm the best you ever had." She said putting a hand on her hair and flipping it.
Calum just laughed. "Oh and could you stay for diner?" Hazel batted her lashes."Sure, babe." He kissed her nose.
The brunette grabbed his hand and dragged him down the stairs until they were in the huge living room.
"You got here early, dad." Charles, her dad looked away from his laptop and smiled at her daughter.
"Yes, honey. It wasn't a busy day actually." He stood up and hugged Hazel quickly. "Hello, Calum." The boy got closer and shook his hand tightly and Charles patted him on the shoulder.
"Hi, Charles. How's life?" Calum asked politely.
"I can't complain, now make yourself comfortable."
Calum gave him a quick nod and sat on the couch with Hazel on his lap.
"What about you? Are you ready for another year in University?" Hazel's dad asked now with his full attention on the boy.
"Uh, of course. Anyways, I kind of dropped my old career and decided to study something else." He scratched the nape of his neck.
"Really?" Charles raised an eyebrow. "How come?"
"I decided on something more stable and went for a career related to medicine." He smiled innocently.
"I guess, that's good, son." He nodded and turned on the tv. Calum thought her dad would snap or get pissed, but then again, it didn't concern him. It was Calum's life.
"Where's mom?" Hazel asked.
"Probably making some calls in her office, go check on her." He smiled sweetly at Hazel.
"Be right back." She kissed Calum's cheek and he squeezed her hip.
"Is everything okay with you two?" Charles asked when his daughter was gone.
"Perfect." The tanned boy put on his charming smile.
"Good. Tell me, Calum. Aren't you guys thinking about taking your relationship to another stage?" Charles fixed his sleeves and crossed a leg over the other.
Calum looked bewildered.
"I'm sorry, sir. I don't think I understand." He cleaned his throat.
"Son, you know what I mean or are you planning on date forever? you've been with Hazel for awhile and I'm not letting my little girl play that card much longer." The man smiled and showed his pearly white teeth.
