I have stayed under this hollowed rock since yesterday. There is another, older dragon. She says her name is Sparky. According to her, the thing that took me, is now my owner, my friend. I don't trust that chubby, lazy lizard. All my short life, I have seen my siblings leave me to those humans. I glared out from under the opening. The human was holding some kind of glowing thing that was making sounds in a kind of pattern. It reminded me of the birds in the place I used to live. They used to sing, quiet a lot, as well. I remember me and my siblings used to yell at them to shut up, as they kept us up at night. Now, I would give anything to hear there awful singing again. A mealworm moved into my sight, and hungry, I snatched it up. I chomped on it, enjoying the taste. The human closed the glowing thing, and went out of the room. I ran to the water source and began lapping up the water. I ate some of the green food, enjoying the sun, and hid again. I couldn't keep this up, I was getting to cold. I shivered, tail twitching, and turned in a circle, falling asleep. A little later, I heard the grating noise that meant the human was here. Groggy, I went out of the rock, only to be scooped up by the human's hands. I spun around in short circles, trying to figure out what was going on. The human put me on their arm. I stood there, paralyzed by fear and slight shock. I then hissed, puffing out my not yet developed frills. I let my stomach fill with air to make myself look bigger. The human's finger drew near my face, and I backed up, hissing. Suddenly, the finger touched the space between my eyes, rubbing the space and my back. I stopped hissing, looking at the human. It was rubbing between my eyes again, gently. I let myself begin to purr a bit, closing my eyes before the human put me back. I looked at it, still scared, but intrigued. It put a mealworm in front of me, big enough to make my mouth water. I chomped down, eating it quickly. I looked up at the human, before saying, "More, more!" The human dangled another mealworm in front of me, I ate it, then realized what I was doing. I was becoming like Sparky. I hissed before hiding under the rock again, but couldn't help and think of the way it felt to be, what the chubby lizard called, "petted". I curled up, and purred while I fell asleep.
