The flames travel up from my feet and ghostly power flows easily through my veins. I really did miss being in this form throughout the school day. I curl my hands into fists as the transformation washes over me, changing my form to a spiritual one. I take to the skies, and place invisibility over me.
You're heading towards Danny's house now? Dan asks me.
"Of course, why wouldn't I?" I retort back to him. "Go rest, you'll need your strength to break out. I'll get the jar and then come to you."
Perfect.
Dan's dark presence retreats from my mind, and I shift my direction towards the top of a random building. I sit on the top of the building and dangle my lace ups off the side of the building. I remove my special tattoo pen from the waistband of my black tights, and watch as the symbols along the pen glow dark red. The same pen my mom used to design her own tattoos--my dad passed it on to me. Underneath my left arm, I draw four symbols carefully designed close to my wrist. I allow the ink to flow over my pale skin and letting them glow as they etch themselves into my wrist.
"I know what you're planning Dan," I say into the wind, and pull my mom's crimson cloak over my shoulders. "I don't plan on letting you manage to disrupt my own revenge."
I lift my left arm to admire my own handiwork, a heart, a spade, a diamond, and a club--all the symbols of cards. The symbols were small enough so I could hide them as Lizzie Sherman. Then I had an idea. I run a hand over the symbols, then pressing my hand underneath my right eye. Etching out a mirror on a scratch piece of paper from my sketchpad, I bring it to life and let it float in front of me. The symbols underneath my eyes glitter under the sunlight--they were exact replicas of my tattoos just smaller and in a jewel-like form. The heart is a ruby colored gem, the diamond is a pearl white, the club is dark maroon, and the spade is dark black. I tap the mirror and it reverts back to dust in the wind. I trace the cards' symbols along my left arm and lift myself back into the air.
I fly through the air, completely invisible, as I make my way to Danny's house. Once I reach it, I transform myself back into my human self. No doubt there'd be some kind of sensors to keep ghosts from prowling in. I'd have to go in as Lizzie Sherman. I knock on the door, and I'm greeted with Danny's sister's face.
"Oh, Danny's over at Sam's right now," she says, and starts to close the door.
"Wait! I just came to grab my bracelet, I dropped when Danny brought me down to the lab," I plead with her lightly.
The orange haired girl tilts her head to the side, "Fine, my parents are downstairs maybe they'll help you find it."
"Thanks."
I head down the stairs and into the lab, where Danny's parents sit working on some kind of invention. His dad looks up at me, "Lizzie, isn't it? Danny's not here right now."
"Oh, actually I'm looking for my bracelet, I think I dropped it here yesterday."
His mom lifts some safety goggles off her head, "Oh, well you can look around, sweetie."
"Thanks, Mrs. F."
I make my way slowly towards the hidden weapons wall, and when I get close enough, I turn my arm intangible to reach inside. My hand touches something smooth and cool with the shape of a cylinder. I remove it from the wall to see it is the same purple ooze, Danny had gotten for me. With his parents deep into their work, I slip out of the lab easily. As I'm creeping out of the lab with the jar hidden behind me, I nearly run into his sister.
"Found your bracelet?" she asks me, and I shake my head.
"Couldn't find it," I reply, and she casts me a suspicious look.
