Chapter 4: Bonding

Hey so this chapter is a little fluffy. It's just Katie, Mem, and Zen getting to know each other a little more and their backgrounds. By the way I would like to thank Alla926 for voting on my story and all the other people who have followed me in the past week! Still feel free to comment! Disclaimer: I do not own Supernoobs! Now I'll stop yapping and get on with the story!

One month later...

(Mem's POV)

It was about two o'clock in the morning and I couldn't sleep. It not because I couldn't but more like my dear roommate, Zenblock, is sleep fighting AGAIN!!!! So right now I'm just trying to avoid his damn punches and kicks which are coming out of nowhere. It's weird because he's never done this before until we got pretty deep into training. Oh well.

I was in the middle of dodging yet another punch when I heard a knock at the door. "Who the hell is that at this hour?" I mumbled and answered the door. Behind it stood Katie in her pajamas which consisted of a black tank top and red short shorts and her hair was pulled back into two pigtail braids and to be honest she looked kinda hot.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when she said "Mem, what the hell is with all the noise, I can hear it loud and clear next door and I'd like to sleep at some point tonight!!" " It's not me it's Zen! He's sleep fighting again and I'm the one trying not to get killed!" I countered. She walked in the room when Zen came charging at her. When he was about to make contact she grabbed his arm and flipped him, instantly waking him up. "What the heck did you do that for?" He yelled. "Dude you were sleep fighting again and keeping both of us up!" I yelled. "Opps sorry." Zen said sheepishly.

"It's okay but now I'm not even tired anymore." Katie said. "Well at least we don't have training tomorrow." I said. "Thank Glorg for that." Zen mumbled and then he said "So what do you guys want to do now?" "Hey I want to know a little bit more about you guys." Katie said. "Why you hang out with us all the time?" I asked. "Cuz you never really told me about yourselves and as my best friends I would like to know." She said with a smirk. Wait a minute she thought of us as her best friends?

Zen and I looked at each other and nodded. We then looked back at her and Zen said "Okay but you got to tell us about yourself first." She tensed a little at first and then sighed saying "Okay what do you want to know?" "EVERYTHING!" we yelled.

"Well what's there to know I was born and raised on the planet Krypton in sector A410. I'm an only child and my parents gave me everything I ever wanted because of them being nobles." "Wait how high in the nobility are we talking here, I mean what are they the King and Queen or something?" I said sarcastically. "WHAT?! No. No. My parents are high in nobility but not that high! Besides, King Zor and Queen Maras only have one kid and that's Princess Seri." She said with a shrug but if you ask me she sounded a little nervous.

"Wait so if your life was so perfect why did you want to become a virus warrior?" Zen asked. "BECAUSE IT WASN'T!!!" She said flopping down on my bed exasperated. "Why?" I asked further sitting beside her with Zen following. "Because my parents would never let me do anything! They never let me go out and live life, have friends, or even be myself in anyway possible! That's why the first chance I got I came here and met you guys which honestly, you two are my first real friends." She leaned her head on my shoulder and Zen rested his hand on her leg.

It was silent for a while until Katie said "Well enough about my and my not so perfect life. Tell me everything about you guys!"

"Okay well, Zen and I are from the planet KR-252 in sector A123." "We basically grew up on the same street." "Yeah what Zen said, in fact we were next door neighbors. Anyway, my dad was a high ranking officer of the Benevolent Alliance and he told us a lot of stories about the universe and virus attacks and stuff and we were more than infatuated." "Yeah I loved the thought of fighting and stuff and Mem always wanted to see the universe so we basically begged his dad to teach us basic fighting skills and such. After a while he finally gave in." "A couple years later we finally joined the academy and it was great well except for Rovu." "Rovu as in the prick who hates my guts." She said. "Yeah him and he hates us too and vice versa." Zen replied. "He's always beaten us at everything and we thought no one could ever beat him, well until you came along."

She smiled and I said "Well that's basically it. Not as fascinating as your backstory though." She yawned and said "Trust me, it's better than you think." She then stood up and headed toward the door and said "Night guys." "Night." We replied and she left. We then went back to our respective beds and fell asleep but in the back of my mind I couldn't help but think that there was something Kat wasn't telling us. Oh well I'll find out soon enough.

(Katie's POV)

I got back into my room and flopped on my bed. That was TOO close! They almost found out my real identity and I cannot have that! But it was still good knowing some more stuff about them. After what seemed like hours I allowed myself to go to sleep.
