Chapter 20: Time for the Huntress (part 1)

Sorry it took so long for me to update guys but I've been busy with school and with other things but I'm updating now! Okay so this chapter since it's the twentieth chapter of this book (I still can't believe it!) is going to be a special one. Let's just say a new character is being added to the What If fam so yeah that's all I'm gonna say and I hope you enjoy!!

(Katie's POV)

It's been about a month since the incident at the resort and everything is great! Mem is now my official boyfriend which I'm really happy about and life couldn't get any better for us!

Like today, I was helping Mem bake his shmorp cakes and we may or may not have gotten into a frosting fight. It was so fun and I'll admit he looked adorable with frosting smeared all over his face. We might have also accidentally burned the cakes because we may or may not have been making out but do you blame us!

The noobs are kinda grossed out by us saying we're too cute but they can't say shit. For one Tyler can't say shit cuz I helped him hook up with Amy Anderson at least on one date so he owes me. Roach can't say anything cuz I'm the only one who knows he has a secret crush on Shope like huuuge crush so yeah. Honestly I didn't see it coming either. Shope is totally fine with us. She thinks we're adorable together and like legit when she found out about us she literally screamed MY SHIP HAS SAILED!!! for an hour. And Kevin definitely won't say anything because EVERY time Kevin falls asleep either on the Galacticus or at our house, he starts kissing the pillow and mumbling Lilah's name. So yeah he won't say anything unless he wants everyone to know about his dreams which I just so happened to video.

The only one that I think has a problem with us is Zen. I know he's not jealous because he truly only loves me like a sister but ever since I started dating Mem who is also his best friend, we've been spending a lot more time with just the two of us leaving Zen out or third wheeling. I feel bad for the guy cuz I know he's happy for us but I also know he's lonely even though he doesn't show it and Mem knows it too. That's why we try to keep the PDA to a minimum in front of him.

To be honest Zen is a really great guy and I know he can be rough around the edges but he's a softy on the inside. I really hope he finds someone who isn't intimidated by him and knows how to take his crap and dish it out to him but is also super sweet and just gets his personality. Don't get me wrong I'm as close to Zen as I am to Mem but literally Zen and I together act like immature siblings. We always fight over stupid stuff, we always try to one up the other, and we just do stupid stuff to each other like siblings would.

Anyway, Mem was cleaning up the kitchen of the mess we've made while I was fanning the smoke out the kitchen window. "I still can't believe you burned the damn cakes." I said playfully. Mem gasped and feigned offended and said "If I remember correctly I couldn't have burned them without you." I sat up on the counter and crossed my arms like a child and huffed. "Well you were the one who initiated it." He laughed and countered "Well it was you who went back in for more." I blushed deep red and mumbled "Shut up." Which made him laugh harder.

I glared at him annoyed and said "It's not funny asshole!" "Ye..es it is...sss!!" He wheezed breathless. I huffed and crossed my arms averting my eyes. "I hate you!" The laughing stopped and I turned back to look at him only to see him with with his arms crossed and he was giving me a really face. "You know that's a lie." He said sarcastically. I grinned and said "I know! But hey it got you to shut up didn't it?!" He rolled his eyes but grinned. "I guess it did." We were about to kiss again when Zen entered the room.

Mem and I quickly separated and looked at Zen who only raised an eyebrow suspiciously at us. "Am I interrupting something?" He said playfully. I grinned "Nope! Although you just missed Mem burning a whole batch of shmorp cakes." Mem glared at me and said "Again not completely my fault!" I punched him in the arm as Zen laughed at us. "Wow been dating for a month and you already act like an old married couple!" I started laughing while Mem blushed deep red and mumbled "Shut up Zen."
