Chapter 12: Fun and Realizations

Hey guys! So in honor of this story hitting over 400 reads (thanks to you!) here's a little fluff chapter that takes place ruffly after the episode Noobies vs. Smoothies. I always wondered what happened at the amusement park at the end of the episode so I decided to write about it but with my own twist. I think you'll like it!

(Mem's POV)

So today has been somewhat eventful. For starters, I had to ask Tyler's crush Amy out on a date for him and of course she said yes so me and the rest of the gang had to help him pull off the date. It ended in disaster with the infected smoothie and all but when Amy said it was the most memorable date in history, Tyler held up his end of the deal and let us go to Funder Wonderland which is where we are now.

Katie easily picked the lock to the gate and got us in and Shope used her electricity powers to start everything up. 

We obviously started with the rollercoaster first but once I saw how big it was I was kinda regretting my constant begging to the noobs to take us here. "So how do we ride this rollercoaster?" Zen asked. "Follow us." Tyler said. We walked to where these cars were and we got in. Zen was in front of me and Kat was behind me and behind her were the noobs.

The noobs helped us strap on the restraints so we wouldn't fall out (like that would be a problem). When we were all in Katie used her magic to start the ride.

It started out pretty slow as we went up the hill but once we got to the top I realized why it looked to go really fast. "You never told us, are these things scary?" Zen asked. "NO!" The noobs yelled and then we went down the slope at what felt like hyper speed. I know I was screaming like a maniac cuz the noobs lied! This thing is scary as shit! After we went through loops and twists and everything else we finally came to a stop.

Zen and I came out wobble legged while the noobs and Kat were practically jumping out with big grins on their faces. "That was awesome! So glad you two talked me into it!" Kat yelled with a huge smile on her face. "You actually liked that?!" Zen said panting. "Yeah it felt like flying to me. So what's next?" Kat asked.

"Let's go check out the picture." Kevin said. There was a picture?! Oh no. We walked over to where the pictures were and once Kat and the other noobs saw the picture they died laughing. "Oh come on it's not that bad." Zen said. "Yes it is! The looks on your faces though are priceless! Can I please have that picture!" Katie said still laughing like a hyena. Kat got the picture and was still laughing.

I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes and said "Whatever Kat. Now what do you guys want to do now?" "Well I'm pretty hungry so I'm going to go get some food." Zen said and the noobs agreed. Katie and I weren't hungry so we let the noobs go with Zen to get food  while we went to ride the log flume.

After awhile we finally made it to the ride. It looked like we would definitely get wet.

We walked over to the logs and I tried to get in but I was too big. I felt disappointed until Kat said "Just change to Bob form and you'll be smaller." I quickly hit my battleball and changed to my human form and got in behind Katie.

When the ride started rapids of water started to push us along the course. We were slamming against walls and water hitting our backs and faces yet we were laughing and screaming the entire time. We then were drawn up a big hill and went through a tunnel. It was completely dark and kinda creepy. Katie turned back and looked at me as if asking what was going on and all I did was shrug. Finally we saw a light at the end of the tunnel.

We drew nearer and nearer and I thought it was just going to be a smooth right out but all those hopes were squashed when we dropped three stories down a slope. Let's just say we screamed.  When we hit the bottom water splashed us in a colossal wave ensuring that we were completely soaked.

"Wow that was fun!" I said. "Agreed but if I knew we were going to get that wet I would've brought a extra set of clothes." She replied as we stepped out and I stopped short once I saw her.

She didn't wear her battle suit here but a loose fitting black t-shirt, jean shorts and black converse. Since she got wet everything she was wearing clung to her body, showing off every curve to the point where I couldn't help bit stare. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't being perverted all I'm saying is that she looked beautiful. She squeezed put her hair and turned and looked at me with her diamond eyes. "What?" She asked. I didn't even realize I was still staring at her but I said "Nothing we should probably head back." She nodded in agreement and we started to walk back to where Zen and the kids were.

We walked back just making small talk when I noticed that Kat was holding her arms close to her body and was shivering slightly. "Hey you okay?" I asked. "Yeah I'm fine just a little cold." She said still shivering. I can understand why she was cold, the wind was blowing slightly and she was still soaked. I was almost dry but she was in the front and took most of the hit.

I knew she wouldn't asked for anything cuz Katie Pri doesn't roll like that and I would've given her my sweater that was around my human shoulders but that took most of the hit from the water so I did the only thing I could think to do.

"Kat come here." I motioned for her to come closer to me. She looked at me funny but slowly came closer to me so that I could wrap my arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to share my body heat.

"What are you doing?" She asked. "Look you're cold and the last thing that anyone needs is a sick Kryptonian on our hands and besides, you're one of my best friends and I care about you. So let me care about your wellbeing for once please." She looked at me and smiled. She then leaned her head on my shoulder and said "Thanks Memmy." I could feel the heat rising onto my face and my heart felt like it would burst out of my chest. I chose to ignore the strange feeling as we neared where the others were.

Once we saw Zen and the noobs Katie left my side and walked to them. The spot where she was standing instantly felt cold and I wished that she would come back to my side. Wait. What?! Did I just? No. I couldn't have! I can't.

Zen called me over and I quickly changed back to my normal form and walked over to them.

"So did you two have fun?" Shope asked. "Yeah we went on the log flume and got soaked but me mostly cuz I was in front but it was fun, right Mem?" Kat said looking over at me and giving me that sweet smile of hers. "Yeah it was fun but it's getting late. We should better head back." Everyone nodded their heads in agreement and we headed toward the exit.

As we were walking Katie stopped me and said "Hey Mem, I just wanted to say thanks for everything today it was really fun." She then stood up on her tip toes and kissed me on the cheek! She then ran back to catch up with the others while I stood there frozen, blushing redder than a beet. I touched my cheek and I finally realized what all these weird feelings meant.

I love Katie and more than just a friend. Wait. I love one of my best friends. Glorg help me! I thought shaking my head as I ran to catch up with the others.
