Mey came to on rocks that dug into her back. The last thing she remembered was a flash of white light, and then nothing. She wondered briefly if she had died, but that idea was dismissed as soon as she realized she wasn't alone, and that she was still in Central City.

"Where are we?" An unfamiliar voice asked from right beside her. As she groaned and sat up, she tried to get a good look of her surroundings.

"Why don't you ask the guy who knocked us out and kidnapped us?" That was a voice she knew. Jefferson Jackson. Half of Firestorm.

When her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she saw more faces she recognized. Leonard Snart and Mick Rory, she knew them better as Captain Cold and Heatwave. Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall, the most recent reincarnations of Hawkman and Hawkgirl. And finally, Dr. Martin Stein - the other half of Firestorm.

There were two people she'd never seen before though: a man in a strange chunky suit that made him look like a very odd Power Rangers cosplayer, and a woman in a massive fur lined coat.

Startled from her surveying by a loud voice, she tore her eyes away from the confused faces around her to see who was speaking.

"The name's Rip Hunter," he started proudly. "I'm from East London. Oh, and the future."

Mey was on her feet in an instant. That was impossible unless he was another speedster, and the long flowing coat he was wearing made her doubt that was the case. So, what was going on?

"Nice to meet you, Rip." Mick said, reaching to his side for the gun he was famous for.

Apparently Rip had anticipated hostility because he was quick to tell Mick and his partner that their weapons were out of order, thanks to his efforts while everyone was incapacitated.

With that out of the way, he got to the good stuff. "I've assembled you all because I need your help. The future of the world is in peril, because of a man by the name of Vandal Savage."

Carter shook his head quickly. "That can't be. We destroyed him."

"Yeah," Kendra agreed. "The Green Arrow and Flash helped us do it."

Mey frowned. Hadn't she been there too that night? Hadn't she done more to help than Kendra and Carter combined? Why then, hadn't she been mentioned? She wanted to ask, but the conversation moved on too quickly for her to get a word in edgewise.

Rip went on to explain that unless Kendra or Carter themselves delivered the final, death inducing blow, Vandal could be brought back by just one cell. And that soon he would be.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Vandal is immortal. Kendra and I reincarnate." Carted said once it became apparent that not everyone knew what they were discussing.

"Yeah, I've done that." The woman next to Mey said. That was definitely something she wanted to ask about too, but once again, the conversation didn't pause.

"Well what the hell does this Randal guy got to do with us?" Micks gravelly voice asked again.

"Vandal," Rip corrected like that was the important part. "In the future, he will employ the evil he's perfected over his long life, and the power he has amassed throughout history to finally . . . conquer the world." He paused to let the new information sink in. "I have been tasked with assembling an elite team to stop him."

"How?" Mey asked, finally speaking up.

"To travel through time, and to capture Savage before he grows into the monster he becomes."

Snart walked up to Rip and spoke coldly. "You've got the wrong guy. Hero aint on my resume."

"Or mine." Rory agreed, following Snart past Rip.

It didn't seem to shake the alleged time traveler though, because he simply turned and continued to speak. "I know it may be hard for you to fathom, but where, or rather when I'm from - the year 2166 - you and everyone on this roof . . . aren't just considered heroes. You're legends."
