"Why does this stupid station play nothing but re-runs?" Mick asked no one in particular.

Maya rolled her eyes at his stupidity, and the woman who had introduced herself as Sara stepped forward to inform him that since they were in the past the programs were actually airing for the first time. Jax held up his hand to stop her, "Don't even bother trying to explain."

"Am I the only one in this ship who could really use a drink? I say we go get weird in the seventies." She said instead.

"Excellent idea!" Snart said with the most enthusiasm he had shown all day.

"I got the perfect outfit," Sara smirked as she headed towards the door.

"Perhaps Captain Hunter was unclear with his instructions to stay on board." Gideon's voice filled the air.

"Shut it Metallica."

Maya rushed to catch up with the group that was leaving and gently grabbed Jefferson's arm, "I really don't think you want to go out with them."

Snart's voice drifted back from the hallway, "She's right, you're not ready to run with this crowd yet kid."

"So what are we supposed to be doing?" Jax asked Maya once they were alone.

"I don't know about you but I'm going exploring, this place is huge and I've barely seen any of it."

"Yeah, you have fun with that, I'm gonna find a way to get back home."

"Good luck, but I think you'll be stuck here just as long as the rest of us."

Maya had only been gone from the control room for a few minutes when something hit the ship enough to rock it violently, and she was thrown to the floor. Her head hit the ground when she fell and her vision went white for a moment and as it faded back, she saw stars. In the time that she was incapacitated, the ship was bombarded again.

Something was very wrong. Maya pushed herself off the ground and ran as fast as she could back to Jax. The halls kept shaking as the ship took blow after blow, and she rammed into the wall more than once. When she finally made it back, Gideon was speaking of a temporal bounty hunter.

"What's happening?" She shouted as sparks flew from an exploding electrical circuit.

"We're being attacked!"

"You don't say!"

"The ship is taking heavy fire," Gideon warned.

"I know! We can tell!"

"We need to get out of here!" Maya shouted over the chaos.

Gideon didn't respond, probably because it wasn't a question. Maya just barely managed to grab Jefferson's hand and drag him away from the wall before a panel fell from the ceiling where he had been standing.

"Why is Kronos attacking us?" He asked while they raced down the hallways.

"I'm afraid only Captain Hunter is able to answer that question."

"Can't we fire back at him? Does this ship have guns?" Maya asked desperately.

"Only Captain Hunter is authorized to operate them."

"Of course!" Maya shouted furiously as she ran.

"Well where is he?"

Jax and Maya reached the open landing door, and were welcomed by more enemy fire. Kronos was only a few dozen yards away, and he was firing right at them. They backtracked to an adjoining room for cover, and found a screen that showed them what was going on outside the ship. Stein was racing across open ground towards them, dodging Kronos' shots and Jax couldn't help but smile.

"That crazy old man."

Moments later he was inside the ship, Ray following close behind. "We need to merge!" He shouted to his partner. They touched hands and went up in flames, becoming one man; Firestorm. They flew out with Palmer in his Atom suit, and Maya would have followed, but she was better at large scale destruction, and she couldn't fly.

Soon the rest of the team had raced back to the ship and the door closed, sealing Kronos out. They weren't safe yet though.

"Get us out of here!" Rip shouted as he ran towards the cockpit.

Gideon complied quickly, and the ship took off moments after he commanded. Once everyone had made it back to their seats and strapped in, the ship entered the time vortex.
