Today was the day, the day Angelica was to ignore Jake. Forever. If you haven't caught on to it the key word is was. Meaning that Angelica started ignoring him but as she was ignoring him Tessa got even closer to him. To close for Angelica's likening. Naturally she stopped ignoring him and decided that maybe trying to get out of his life wasn't the best idea after all. So for now on she was going to try returning things back to the norm.
The first step happened during an assembly she was trying to sit next to Jake but Tessa beat her to it. Next was much more successful. All Angelica had to do was sit next to Jake during lunch. She got into her usual seat, table 3 and the 4th seat to the end. He plopped right down next to her small frame without a second thought. They talked and talked and talked for the entire lunch period, he even complemented the new necklace her friend had given her not much earlier. Even after lunch was over they talked, walking up the stairwell. Angelica's had never laughed so hard for a while now and to be honest it felt good. While they were talking she tripped because they were so deep into conversation. Guess who caught her, her one and only Prince Charming. Jake.
1:40pm only five more minutes until she could walk to the bus with him. Ring ring ring there it was. It was about time. 'Oh my gosh can't these people move any faster.' It only been about 20 minutes since she saw him at lunch but still, she loved walking to the bus lot with him. Sometimes they would get so caught up in conversation Jake would forget that he was to be picked up. Some people would soon later ask if they were dating "no we are just really close." She would say but in her mind she would always think 'if only.'
They met up in their usual spot in the hallway just like every B day, but before they could really get into their usual arguing about dumb topics (today it was about which ice cream flavor was better) he was whisked away by a group of girls. This usually happened whenever they walked in the halls. Jake was very handsome and many if not every girl likes him. It would frustrate Angelica most times as they flirted with him while they were busy talking. 'Get those feelings out of your head! He will never love you or even like you. You will ALWAYS be in the friend zone.' That right there was the story of her life. Always competing for the heart of who she cared about most. Sadly she always loses.
