Have you ever listened to music so loud and actually payed attention to the lyrics? That's all Angelica ever did, music was her life. It was the lyrics to her life and sadly right now she was feeling depressed, that meant she was listening to rock songs about break ups.
The ride was three hours long and Angelica was still listening to the same music while thinking. Then it hit her. The reason Jake doesn't like her wasn't because of her personality, it was because of her looks. Angelica had really thick extremely curly hair and since she was half Latina and half African American her hair wasn't as silky as other girls. She was also not as thin as other girls, instead of being a size 2-4 she was a size 6-8. She also could not wear skinny jeans because she was to muscular compared to others. Angelica had a crooked tooth and her family can't afford braces. That was only the few flaws of many others. The first thing she was going to fix was her amazingly awful hair.
She brought the flat iron to her hair, wait let me rephrase that, her aunt brought the flat iron straight to her hair asking if she had any regrets before they started. "No. It's not permanent, it'll come out on Friday." She had made sure that the method they were doing was not damaging what so ever.
One look in the mirror and Angelica new, she loved that way she looked. She looked like a whole new person, her hair was longer and silkier and the new glasses she had bought that day helped a lot. 'Add a little lip gloss or something with the perfect outfit and boom!!! I'll look much better.'
